I always knew I was different. I never really fit in with all the other kids. I guess you could say I was the outcast. Now here I am falling from a skyscraper, floating mid air with hundreds of eyes on me, about to plummet to my death.

But lets take it a few steps back. Back to the beginning of it all.

I was entering my fourth and final year of Silver Oak High. Dressed in all dark clothes trying to avoid as much human attention as possible. But of course, I was that weird girl, so that made it almost impossible. I stopped at my locker and checked my schedule. Science first period, great. Ms. Lola did say she had a surprise for us on the first day of school though.

I always did kind of like Ms. Lola. She always tries to understand me in a way that no one can, and shes really nice to me all the time.

As I walked into classroom 322, Ms. Lola greeted me with a warm smile and I gave her a slight smile in return.

"Welcome class. As I promised on the day before summer break, there is a surprise..."

She reaches under her desk to reveal a tray with sterile tools and a frog laying in the middle. My eyes lit up to the sight of this vulnerable deceased creature laying there ever so helplessly.

"Today we will be dissecting frogs!"

the class groaned and a few of the girls quivered in fear, but when she asked us to walk up and get a tray, i stood up as quickly as possible and rushed over to try and get the biggest amphibian.

"Your welcome." Ms. Lola said followed by a wink and smile.

This time I truly smiled back. I went walking back to my seat and opened up the instructions.

Gloves, check.

Safety goggles, check.

Partner, ...

I looked around the room to see everyone paired up except for me. Thank God.

I made my way down the list to make sure I had all the materials I needed and began the procedure. I proceeded to make a small incision with a scalpel when all of a sudden Danny the douche walked in. His eyes divert from the frog I'm slicing open to my face.

"Well, well, well. If it isn't abnormal Alice." he says.

A few giggles and murmurs spring from the background.

"You probably cant even spell abnormal." i say with the most serious face possible.

"Yeah I can. A... B... E... N... you know what that's besides the point." he says a he realized hes making a fool of himself. "Look at you sitting there all by yourself. Why don't you have a partner? Is it because your a freak?"

"Daniel, that's enough. Have a seat." Ms. Lola says. The murmurs and giggles grow louder.

"What? Are you gonna have a mental break down like last time? I heard you threw a chair at a kid and got arrested." he says and laughs loudly.

"I said that's enough. Go have a seat. NOW." Ms. Lola says. She was clearly getting fed up with his nonsense.

"Geez. Okay, Miss. No need to yell." he says now laughing louder than before.

I feel my face heating up with fury and i just stare at his chair as he approaches it. I just intensely stare at it as if something is going to actually happen, and it actually did.

Just as he was about to sit down, the chair slid back a few inches and stumbled onto the floor, hitting his head against the desk behind him. Students burst out in laughter but I just sat there shocked. My eyes widened and I looked over to Ms. Lola to see if she knew what had just happened, but her eyes were just equally as wide as mine.

"WHAT THE HELL! WHAT DID YOU DO TO MY CHAIR?! SHE JUST PULLED SOME VOODOO SHIT RIGHT NOW!" Danny yells while pointing at me.

People are now in tears and I let out a small laugh.

"WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU LAUGHING AT?!" he says, getting very close to me.

I leaned back because I could smell the scrambled eggs he had for breakfast coming off of his breath.

Ms. Lola walks over and backs him off.

"Alright lets get you to the nurses office. Class is dismissed early."

I get up in disappointment because I didn't get to finish cutting open the frog until Ms. Lola says "Except for you Alice. Wait until I get back. We need to speak." and walks out with weeping Danny.
