The book of the Gospel's that I am choosing Scripture Verses from to tell about the Resurection are from the Gospel of John, though all 4 Gospel's tell the story but each with a different perspective.
John 20:1 "Early on the first day of the week, while it was still dark, Mary Magdalene went to the tomb and saw that the stone had been removed from the enterance."
Mary had gone to mourn over the death of Jesus but when she had arrived, the tomb was open and the body of Christ was no longer there. This was the first sign of the Resurrection.
John 20:8-9 "Finally the other desciple, who had reached the tomb first, also went inside. He saw and believed. (They still did not understand from Scripture that Jesus had to rise from the dead.)"
When the desciple saw that the body of Jesus was no longer in the tomb, he finally understood what Scripture was saying and he truely believed in Jesus Christ. Yes, I understand that there can be doubt about Christ and the LORD, but all of it is true. You just have to truely believe and pray to God as hard as you can! NEVER give up on your faith! God will NEVER fail us! He gives us what we are asking for when He knows we are ready. God gave His one and only Son to us on the Cross so that we may have Salvation. Because Christ rose from the grave, and because I have accepted Him into my heart and my life, I am Saved from my sins and now I am granted eternal life in Heaven with God Almighty.
John 20:14-15 "At this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing there, but she did not realize that it was Jesus. "Women," he said, "why are you crying? Who is it you are looking for?'"
Mary did not realize Jesus was there, we never realize that He is here either. Though we can not see Jesus and we can not see God, there are signs. He is here! Jesus died for us 2,000 years ago and rose from the grave to save us from our sins three days later! When we have Jesus and we recognize that He is here, we can accomplish ANYTHING.
John 20:16-18 "Jesus said to her, "Mary." She turned toward him and cried out in Aramaic, "Rabboni!" (which means Teacher). Jesus said, "Do not hold onto me, for I have not yet returned to the Father. Go instead to my brothers and tell them, 'I am returning to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.'" Mary Magdalene went to the desciples with the news: "I have seen the Lord!" And she told them he had said these things to her."
Jesus was a teacher to all the people in His time, and He still is a teacher to us! When Jesus spoke out to Mary, she rejoiced, just like we do when we come to know Him and that He is Lord, and that He saved us from our sins. Jesus did not want His people to hold onto His death and mourn over Him, He wants us to know that He returned to His Father and He brought us Salvation by dying on the Cross and then rising from the grave 2,000 years ago! When Christ was Resurrected, He told Mary to tell His desciples to turn to God now, and that is what all of us need to do! We should turn to the Lord and put all our faith in Him! God will provide! He sent His Son with a plan: to be Crucified on the Cross and be Resurrected from the grabe three days later to save us from our sins and grant us with the gift of eternal life in Heaven once we have died on Earth!!!
John 20:21-23 "Again Jesus said, "Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you." And with that he breathed on them and said, "Recieve the Holy Spirit. If you anyone his sins, they are forgiven; if you do not forgive them, they are not forgiven.'"
Jesus rose from the grave to bring us peace through Him; He was put on this Earth to bring us Salvation and He fullfilled the purpose He was given. As Christ said, "...If you forgive anyone his sins, they are forgiven; if you do not forgive anyone them, they are not forgiven," He was telling us that He died so that our sins could be forgiven, but if we can't forgive others for sinning to us, then God can't forgive us. If we do forgive those who have sinned against us, then God will forgive us for sinning against Him! Jesus came, He preached, He was Crucified, and He was Resurrected. All for what?! To bring us, the children of God, Salvation! That's what Easter is about! Don't EVER forget that! And always thank God for what He has done for us! Your life is a blessing, but God has a plan for you, and we never know when our last breath might be. All we know is that we have been granted with Salvation by the blood Christ shed on the Cross.
John 20:29 "Then Jesus told him, "Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.'"
When Thomas saw that Jesus had rose from the grave just as Scripture had said, he believed! When Jesus told him, "Because you have seen me, you have belived; blessed are those who have not seen me and yet have believed.", He was saying that Thomas now believes in Christ Jesus because he saw Him during the Resurrection. He was also saying that He will bless those of us who truely believe in Him even though we have not seen Him! Jesus Christ is a true gift from Above and without God sending His Son to die on the Cross to save us from our sins, when it should've been us on the Cross, we would be no where! Our world would be insane and there would be no good. We wouldn't be saved from our sins and we would die like Jesus did for us.
John 20:30-31 "Jesus did many other miraculous signs in the presence of his disciples, which are not recorded in this book. But these are written that you may belive in Jesus Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name."
Jesus went through the Crucifixion and shed His blood on the Cross to save us from sin. He was Resurrected three days later, which is now known as Easter, to truely bless us with Salvation and to fullfill Scripture by proving that He is the One and Only Son of God. Without Christ dying for us, we would be dead from our sins. By truely believing in Christ and that He died for our sins then rose three days latet, I am blessef with the gift of eternal life in Heaven at the Throne of God Almighty and the Lord, Christ Jesus.
Easter is NOT about a big fluffy bunny hoppong from house to house hiding plastic eggs and candy! Easter is about celebrating The Resurrection of our Lord, Jesus Christ! He died on that Cross for US and He rose from the grave for US to bring US Salvation and Eternal life in Heaven with God Almighty! think about that and please remember what the holiday is truely about.
Always know that God Is Big Enough!
God Bless y'all,
