8101 found herself staring at the boy for what seemed ages, until the voice of Mayor Brooks seemed closer than usual, because he was right next to her.
The thoughts in 8101's head were spinning round and round, never really came to a stop. That one memory at the playground quickly flashed into her eyes, as if she was actually there. It seemed that she was, because she didn't see a podium, she didn't see the Arena of Galloway. She saw the same playground she was at 2 years ago. She was swinging, and heard 8101 called. She did the same things she did 2 years ago with no control, and soon, once he turned his head, she saw the grey eyes. She knew they were grey eyes. They were so distinct, you could tell that they were grey, just like 8101's.
As 8101 was falling just like 2 years ago, it wasn't in regular speed, it was slow, so slow that it felt like she was flying. Right before she hit the ground, she was transported back to the podium, all because of one thing Mayor Brooks said.
"Please welcome Maxine 'Max' Rider Brooks and Wes Cyrus Brooks, my children."

8101, or Max, as taken off the stage with Wes, to see a lady backstage. She had her hands extended, wearing expensive clothing and jewelry that Max would never think of wearing ever, until now. Max was still getting used to the fact being called "Max", and thinking to herself, Max calm down. But one thing that made her happy, she got to stay alive.
At first, Max didn't know how she was part of this family. Mayor Brooks had dark brown hair, and from what Max saw, her mom had blonde hair. And the grey eyes, Her father didn't have grey eyes, but she didn't know about her mother.
Max didn't feel like running. She has never met this woman who is told to be her mother. It didn't feel right. She really didn't know what to do. Max decided the best thing to do was just to walk, because that's what Wes was doing. Following whatever her twin brother did was a good idea. But what Max didn't know was Wes was doing whatever Max was doing, so Max practically was doing whatever her body told her to do.
Once Max and Wes finally exited the stage, the audience went silent. And there she was. Max's mother. She looked NOTHING like Max. Blonde hair, blue eyes, flawless skin. It looked like she had pounds of makeup on. 3 layers of foundation, along with concealer, bronzer, blush, eyeshadow, mascara, lipstick, lip liner, this woman literally looked flawless. Max wondered though, where did she get her grey eyes from. Her father had blue just like her mother.
"Max! Wes!" Mrs. Brooks squeezed her children with all her might. Max could hardly breath. She finally let go and got a good look, "You too are beautiful, and your eyes! Oh I am so happy to finally meet you too,"
Mrs. Brooks, or their mom, brought them farther backstage, to see a woman, probably in her twenties, with blonde hair and tan skin. No makeup on whatsoever. Max looked at her, she couldn't lead her eyes away from her.
"Max, Wes, this is your governess, Wren, would you like to introduce yourself?" Mrs. Brooks smiled, giving the attention to Wren.
"Well, Raine already introduced me enough!" Wren said.
Mrs. Brooks smiled, "Well, I'd better get going. I need to introduce the rest of the kids to their parents! Oh what a job, what a job. See you three later!" She gave Wes a good hug, and Max a little kiss on the cheek. This made Max cringe. She had never received a kiss before. And from your mother you just met? That made her cringe even more. Her brother looked fine, because he looked liked he had nothing to worry about. Rich parents, a cute governess. For Max it was a little different. Overprotective parents, and someone watching her every move.
"Well, now that Mrs. Brooks is gone, let's get going. I'll tell you a little bit more about myself," Wren smiled, then introduced the twins to the exit door.
