"Eddie?" I gasp
"Woah... Are you okay?" He says with a worried expression as he realizes how fucked up I look
"Eddie" I whimper as I hug him
He was surprised by my actions but he hugs me tightly
"Hey.. Its okay" he whispers
I let out a sob and hug him tightly
"What the hell happened Vi?" He let's go so I can breathe
I wipe my face and fix my hair
"Come in, sorry I sort of attacked you" I sniffle
"Its quiet alright. Let me just bring my stuff out of the cab" he assures me
I nod and he walks out to the cab

I was now dressed and sitting down staring at myself in the mirror.
My reflection said it all..
I wasn't enough.
How can I be if Justin clearly found someone to give him what I couldn't.
I sigh and head downstairs.
I hear a few voices in the kitchen
"Mom? Dad? What are you guys doing here?" I ask
I'm surprised they are actually home and not working like they always do.
"Well I mean, its Sunday and we live here so..." My dad kids
"Haha" I try to cover my sour mood
"Anyways honey, we actually got the rest of the day off since our boss sort of announced his engagement with his wife" she smiles
"Cool..I'll be upstairs" I walk away
"Honey.. Can we at least go watch a movie or have dinner? Something?" My mom asks
"Umm...sure..." I walk back down the few steps I started to climb
"Okay, so dinner or movie?" My dad asks
"Dinner" I smile
"Movies it is" my dad laughs
I roll my eyes and go along with him since we don't really spend a lot of time together.

"So that jackass hurt you?!" Eddie says angrily as he gets up from the table
"No.. Yes.. No... I don't know " I try to remain calm
"If he fucking hurt you I swear-"
"He didn't" I try to calm Eddie down
"I swear Mia.. I might be new here but I can surely kick someone's ass" he growls
"Ed.. Its fine. Really. Just with all that went on it sort of left me traumatized" I assure him
He sighs and sits back down.
I had offered him tea since we had a lot of catching up to do. Plus it was starting to get cold here in the states. I'm not used to it yet but my mum wanted to move here, so i kind of had to follow.
"I'm sorry Vi" he frowns
"For what?" I furrow my eyebrows
"For what they did to you" he looks at me with sadness in his eyes
"Don't. Don't say that. It wasn't your fault, or anyone's.. It was mine and well I didn't realize what..." I rush into my words
I close my eyes for a second and breathe in and out
"Relax Vi" he shushes me and stands up to hug me
Eddie was one of the only ones I didn't freak out when being touched.
Eddie had always been one of my closest friends. He grew up right next door to me so we are childhood buds. People would always confuse us to be siblings because of how much we looked alike, I mean I see it.We both have dark brown hair, though his is curlier than mine. We both also had light skin and colored eyes. He was fairly taller than me though. Not too tall but tall enough to be taller than me even when I wear heels.
"What are you doing here anyways?" I ask as I let go
"My term ended so I decided to come here" he smiles
"What about your mum?" I ask
"my mum didn't have any problem with that since she found it easier to be left alone with her boyfriend" his smile fades
"Im sorry" I say and mean it
His mom has always focused on her love life more than Eddie. My mum would always watch over Eddie, especially when one of his mums boyfriends would get home drunk and beat her.
I remember the one time Ed knocked on my window in 8th grade when his stepdad got home and started throwing things and arguing. I let Ed in and when my mom realized what would happen she gladly let him sleepover whenever he wanted.
"Its not your doing." He sighs
"So, how long are you here for?" I try to lighten the mood"
"Well I asked your mum if there were any apartments around here so I can settle but she told me to just come here" he sits down
"So you're going to be staying here?" I say as I go to the fridge to get two pops and hand him one
"Yeh, I mean if that's cool with you" he takes the pop in hand
"You know you're always welcomed here" I smile
"I know" he smirks and takes a sip
