Chapter 3: Hospital
Matt's POV
I knew that this would happen. I just knew this would happen. But does anybody listen to Matthew Holt?
Don't answer that.
I search my pockets for my phone,but then I remembered that I didn't have it with me. It was inside. My eyes widened as I cursed under my breath "Katie,wait right here!" I exclaimed.
"Matt,no!" I heard her yell,but I was already running inside.
Pidge's POV
Oh my god. Matt left. I don't even know what's happening to Shiro!!
I lifted his head,but realized that he wasn't even conscious anymore. I took a shaky sigh as I closed my eyes,shaking my head. I then gritted my teeth as I lowered my head. This was all my fault.
"Why did I have to just leave like that? None of this would have happened if I would have stayed inside!" I yelled at myself. I felt tears fill my eyes as I looked at the boy laying in front of me.
After a few minutes,I heard the sirens of an ambulance getting nearer and nearer. I lifted my head to see Matt kneeling next to me,and he placed a hand on my shoulder.
"I called,and I got an ambulance to get here" he told me,looking me in the eyes. I used my thumb to brush away my tears,then nodded my head a bit.
Soon,the ambulance had arrived,and medics were getting Shiro. They put him into the back of the ambulance,and I ran up to them. Before I could even say anything,one of the medics put their arm in front of me.
"You aren't allowed in here"
"What?! Why not?!"
"You have to be family to travel in the ambulance. If you aren't family you must get to the hospital yourself"
I grabbed the collar of his shirt and pulled him down so that we were face to face "listen here you little shit. I know Shiro. My brother knows Shiro. And me and my brother are going with you guys,or so help me I will hop on top of this ambulance and ride with you guys." I growled.
Matt appeared next to me and pulled me back,immediately stepping in front of me. He gave a nervous laugh and small smile,waving his hands violently "s-sorry,sir!" He said quickly. The medic narrowed his eyes and glared at me before climbing up into the back of the ambulance. He slammed the doors shut,and they drove off.
I turned to Matt and my hands balled into fists "what the hell was that for,Matt?! We need to get to the hospital too!" I huffed,shooting daggers at him. He just sighed "Katie,I..."
"Don't 'Katie' me" I growled as I turned my back to him. I started to run off down the street,following only the sound of the ambulance. The hospital wasn't far. If they hit a red light,I could catch up.
I skidded slightly as I turned the corner,using all my force to keep running. Grr,curse my tiny legs!
I spotted the ambulance. It was stopped because of a large eighteen-wheeler truck turning. I smirked as I ran towards the vehicle,slowing to a stop as I got beside it. Before it could keep driving,I jumped up onto the back,grabbing onto the door handle.
I stood on the back,holding on as we started moving. I looked over my shoulder just to see Matt chasing after me,though he wasn't as quick. "Katie! KATIE!"
All I did was stick my tongue out as we drove towards the hospital.
Time Skip!
The ambulance slowed to a stop in the parking lot,and I jumped up. I grabbed ahold of the top of the vehicle and pulled myself up,making sure I wouldn't be visible. The medics threw open the back doors,and I watched them wheel Shiro into the hospital.
I scanned the area and narrowed my eyes before I jumped down. I dusted off the front of my dress before turning,watching Matt run towards me. He stopped running and placed his hands against his knees,catching his breath.
"You...scared...me..." He managed between breaths as he looked at me. I just crossed my arms and smirked "hey,I had to improvise. They wouldn't let me go inside the ambulance,but they never said I couldn't ride on top"
"You could have fallen off and gotten hit by a different car!" Matt exclaimed as he finally regained his breath. I just rolled my eyes "I know I'm reckless,but not that reckless."
I turned on my heel and stormed into the hospital,my eyes gazing around the room. I walked up to the desk and slammed my fists down,causing the lady at the computer to flinch.
"Hey,lady" I started,keeping my voice calm. "Where's Takashi?"
"Takashi...S-Shirogane?" She stuttered,her eyes wide as she spoke.
"No,Takashi Kogane. YES SHIROGANE!" I yelled,obviously annoyed. She yelped and quickly stood,pointing down the hall. I nodded my thanks and started down the hallway.
Before I could get to whatever room he was in,a nurse grabbed my shoulder. I raised an eyebrow as I looked up,crossing my arms "may I help you?" I asked,annoyed.
"Miss,you can't go back there during the surgery"
"But I need to see if he is alright!"
"The surgery has already started. You'll have to wait until it is over to see him."
I shrugged her hand off of my shoulder and turned around. I slowly walked back down the hall,angrily kicking a chair as I walked back past the main desk. I plopped down into a chair in the corner,crossing my arms as I crossed one leg over the other.
Matt appeared inside the building and spotted me. He jogged over and sat down next to me "is everything alri-"
"I don't know." I cut him off.
"But the surgery has started."
~Another chapter :D I feel very proud of myself for writing this,especially with how quickly I wrote most of it,and I can't wait to see how far this book goes. I was pressured by my friend RapidashLove and her Internet friend on Instagram,so I wrote this chapter. I already know what I'm going to do for chapter four. AGAIN,I am not the best writer! I am still new to Wattpad! I apologize. Anywayssss,give me feedback,please! Id love to know if I'm doing good or bad~
