A swipe of your hand and the ceiling of stars moved before you, night day night day night day you stop counting after a few minutes but when your hand drops it settles back to the black sky brimming and dripping with the fading light of stars you never saw.
"What is this?" The question lingers in the back of your mind as your bed turns to grass under your weight and you can feel the height of something against your side and hear the breathing of a creature that doesn't exist. It feels like an eternity until you hear it another voice distantly crawling out of faded memories.
"This is Paradise"
Your eyes snap open wider than they already were as you shoot up, but the grass is gone the stars are too and even as you search through the silence of the room you can't hear the faint breathing of it anymore, only silence still lurks inside of the four walled encloser.
"Who are you"
Your voice almost staggers, you don't remember having that accent. Did you ever remember having an accent in your thoughts Yes! of course you did. You didn't know where the regularly southern pronunciation went but you definitely didn't remember southing that almost smooth something borderline crisp. Timed perfectly down to the last nanosecond.
"I am who you see yourself as, you are me as I am you but not the same"
What? You definitely didn't think that, that wasn't something you'd simply think of out of nowhere. But, you did or at least the voice nagging at the back of your thoughts did? You were positive it had been a thought, not an actual sentence spoken from the mouth of someone who wasn't- no couldn't have been there. Someone who although you couldn't see them you were positive were there- No. They weren't there and you are alone but,
That's when it hits you, you know this voice and you know the man speaking it, just as you knew the two that came before him you know him and you know them.
You know them to be you if it's this life or another, this was another kin and apparently, they're 'stronger' than the others even if not in the technical sense of the word. And this one's name? This one's name was David.
