Ava

She ran to her dresser draw to drive her pain away, she opens it. Nothing's there, "mum has no right" she screams. Anger runs down both of her checks, she wanted to escape, to run away, to leave. She turns around to see her phone lying on her bed.

12 missed calls and 4 text messages.

The first text message was from her mother and read-

- Ava, I'm just texting to hope you have a good day at school and to let you know I won't be home when you finish school, please be safe oh and happy birthday sweetheart! I love you! -mum

Ava dismissed the message and move on.

The second one was from her father and read-

- Ava my darling, I'm so sorry I couldn't be here today for your 16th birthday, I hope you have an amazing day, I'm sorry I haven't called, I tried a million times but after what happened I didn't think I had the right to, I'm so sorry you had to be there to witness everything that happened between me and your mother. I promise I'm trying to get you back, I know I shouldn't have left without saying goodbye and I know I shouldn't have left you with your mother after what she done to you and your sister but I promise ill get you back, Mia misses you. I love you hunny, have a good day.

Ava reread the message her father sent her about twelve times before replying it's this-

- Daddy, when mum hit me and Mia it wasn't you fault, you had always tried your best to make sure we had everything we wanted, you have every right to call me. I'm not stopping you, it's just that mum gets so angry.. And.. She throws things, its mostly my fault but sometimes I can't stop it.. She also has a new "boyfriend". He hits me, and mum, I'm really scared daddy. I'm going out tonight for my birthday, mum isn't coming. She thinks I'm going to do something stupid, I promise you I won't! I love you daddy! - Ava

The third message was from Ava's boyfriend, Nate Archibald. -

Hey beautiful, happy birthday plus 1 year and 7 months, I can't believe I found you! The one I want to spend the rest of my life with. I hear what the girls were saying,please don't let them get to you, I don't want you to hurt yourself again, and if your mum touches you again or her so called "boyfriend" please come talk to me! Love always Nate.

Ava and Nate had been together for almost 2 years and he knew pretty much everything about Ava's life and her problems, but what he didn't know is how little she could take.

Ava replied to Nate saying-

- Baby, please come rescue me! I'm scared! Mum must of went through my things again and she took my blades, I'm really scared she's going to tell mark and he'll hurt me again! I'm be over later! I love you Nate, happy 1 year and 7 months. Love Ava.

The forth message Ava had was from her counsellor saying.-

- Ava, I would just like to inform you that I have received your antidepressants, did you want me to drop them into you, or would you like to come pick them up because I know you don't want your mum to know, I hope your doing well, just let me know.

Ava dismissed the message and packed her bags, she was finally doing it, running away. She couldn't take it anymore, every night she put up with the same thing, yelling, screaming, and violence, she was tired of being abused by the one woman who was meant to be her best friend. Ava leaves the dark, lifeless house and drives to Nate's, who is waiting outside for her. He runs up to her and kisses her passionately.

"I got your text, are you okay?" Asked Nate worried.

"No, I'm not okay, I don't want to go back there Nate, let me stay with you please? At least while your parents are away?" Says Ava with tears in her eyes.

"Of course you can stay here, you can stay here for as long as you want." Says Nate.

"Thank you, Nate. You have no idea how much I love you." Says Ava happily.

"I love you too Ava, but we really need to do something about your mum darling, we can't have her hurting you any time she wants." Says Nate lovingly.

"I know, I'm going to go stay with dad for a little while if she doesn't stop, run away with me?" Asked Ava hopefully.

"Maybe one day beautiful, but for now we have to try and work through out problems." Says Nate.

It was late when Ava decided to go see her mother, she had told Nate to stay home, it was dark and cold out. She was walking trough the alley when she saw Jake Andrews, one of her old friends who had just gotten out of prison for sexual abuse. She didn't really like him anymore. Jake walked up to Ava and started talking to her.

"Hey Ava. Long time, no see." Says Jake.
"What do you want?" Says Ava.
"Your life." Says Jake.
"What are you talking about?" Says Ava.

Jake walks a little closer to Ava, leaning into kiss her. Ava moves backwards trying to stop him but he trips her and she stumbles onto her backside.

"Jake, I have a boyfriend! Leave me alone!" Says Ava sacredly.
"Nate, I know. I loved you Ava, I tried everything to get you, even hurt someone dear to me for you and yet you still chose that prick over me. You fucking low life whore." Yells Jake.
"I never loved you Jake, it was all in your head." Says Ava trying to keep her balance while trying to get back up.

Jake pushes her back onto the ground, Ava turns to run away but he barbs her hair. The more she tried to escape the harder he pulled her closer to him.

"Let go of me Jake!" Yells Ava.
"You deserve everything you get." Says Jake angrily.

Jake forces himself onto Ava and pulls down his shaggy jeans. Ava tries to scream for help but he hits her around the face cussing her lip to bleed. Ava tries to move but she is pushed forcefully to the ground.

"Help! Jake! Get off me!" Screams Ava as she manages to move his hand away from her mouth.
"Why would you tease me and ask for this but then tell me to stop?" Asks Jake.
"I haven't asked for anything Jake! Please stop, your hurting me!" Yells Ava.
"You wanted me to hurt you." Says Jake like he's enjoying this.

Jake take another swing at Ava causing her to black out. Ava wakes up during the night completely naked. Cuts and bruises all over body. She manages to find her phone. 120 missed calls from Nate. Fuck! She thought as she called him.

"Hello, Ava! Are you okay?" Asks Nate worried.

Ava coughs and spit the awful blood taste out of her mouth before answering.

"Nate I don't know what happened, I need you to come pick me up from the second alley on the way to mums, I'm completely naked and bleeding everywhere, I have cuts a bruises all over my body!" Says Ava not being able to remember much that happened that night.
"I'm coming beautiful. Please stay there!" Says Nate.
"Ill be waiting. Says Ava.

The line goes dead. Ava lay on the ground freezing, she manages to find her underwear and jacket, she uses all of the strength she has to put them back on then blacks out. Nate arrives at the alley, and sees Ava lying on the ground almost lifeless.

"Ava! What happened?" Says Nate angrily and worried.

Ava manages to answer Nate, but then slowly drifts in and out of consciousness.

"Jake. He's out." Says Ava.

Nate picks her bruised body up and carries her to the car, Nate drive to the hospital and take her into the emergency room.

"Someone, anyone. Help!" He screams as soon he gets on the room.
"What happened to her?" Asked one the nurses.
"She is my girlfriend, and she was raped last night on her way to see her mother by Jake Andrews." Says Nate almost in tears.
"Take her straight through." Says a lady in the waiting room.
"Bring her in through here." Says the nurse.

It had been a week and every morning felt like death. Ava was pregnant, she had never felt to disappointed in herself her whole entire life; she didn't know what to do. She was still in hospital and she had to make a decision.The nurse comes in to make sure she is okay.

"Have you came up with a decision? Do you want to be a mother or through with the incision." Asked the nurse carefully.
"I don't know! I can't go through with incision, I can't kill my baby, wether I want it or not. I do not believe in things like that.. I need some time." Says Ava angrily.
