I was thinking about Scott the whole way to Alex's room. Why couldn't he just come with me? Why was he so mad at Alex?

I took a deep breath and decided to push every thought of Scott away; he wouldn't ruin the night without even being here. What I told him was true; me and Alex would have fun with or without him. I lightly knocked on the door and waited for Alex to answer.

"Coming!", Alex said.

He opened the door seconds later to reveal a beautiful setting. His room was much bigger than mine and Scott's. In the middle of the room there was a table for two people, decorated with red and white roses and some candles. Alex was wearing tight black pants and a light pink button-up. His blonde hair formed a perfect wave and his face was beaming because of the light make-up he had on.

"Good evening, handsome!", he greeted me.

"You're not bad yourself, Alex.", I said blushing. I'm not used to compliments.

"Come in.", he said, touching my waist slightly as I walked through the narrow door.

"This is for you." I gave him a bottle of red wine that I bought from the bar earlier. Avi said it was the best for special occasions; I bet he thought it was for Scott.

"Aww, Mitchy, you shouldn't have..." He smiled and gave me a side hug. "Come on, have a seat. The food here is amazing. I hope you like lobster."

"Lobster?", I asked, trying to hide the slight shock in my voice. It's not like I can afford to have lobster every other day. "I've actually never had it before.", I admitted.

"You're gonna love it, trust me."

"How come you can afford all this?", I asked. "You know...the huge room and the expensive food."

"Well...being the captain's only son has it's privileges.", he said winking at me.

"Wow! I didn't know you were the captain's son!" I was a bit impressed, but I don't know why.

"There's a lot of things that you don't know about me, Mitch, and I think it's time we changed that.", he said raising his glass and I did the same.

We talked for a couple hours, learning facts about each other. Alex was actually older than me, he was 21. He lives in California, but he prefers rain over sunshine. He also used to play basketball, but he quit because of an injury. Well, that explains the abs.

"Mitch, can I ask you something random?", he said, becoming serious all of a sudden.

"Of course, Allie." He told me to call him that.

"Are you dating Scott?" Well, that was random indeed. And awkward.

"Uh...no. Of course not. We're just friends." Or used to be. The last thought broke my heart. I missed Scotty.

"Oh, okay. Are you straight, then?", he asked. I almost laughed at the question.

"As straight as my wonky ass eyebrows.", I said laughing.

"Your eyebrows are perfect, Mitch. But, yeah, me too.", he said winking again.

I wasn't really paying attention to Alex anymore, though. My mind was filled with the thoughts of another blonde boy.

"Alex, I had a great time, but I really have to go."

"But, Mitchy, we haven't watched a movie yet! Please, stay.", he begged.

"I'm sorry, I'm not feeling very well. I'll see you tomorrow. Thanks again, Alex."

"Okay, call me if you need anything. Goodnight, Mitchy." He said and gave me a peck on the cheek. Of course I blushed.

I started walking to the bar. I really needed to talk to someone about Scott, about how much he must hate me for what I said to him. I also knew that Avi would listen and the alcohol might help as well.

But of course Avi wasn't there. I saw Shawn behind the bar, trying his best to keep up with the crowd around him. I started walking to Kevin's office, when I saw someone sitting alone on the deck. I slowly walked closer to him; it was Scott. And he was crying.

"Scotty?", I gently touched his hair. He lifted his head up and his puffy red eyes looked into mine. He seemed really surprised to see me.

"Mitchy? I-I thought you were with Alex.", he said sniffing.

"Well, I kinda ditched him. I wasn't really in the mood, knowing that you were mad at me.", I admitted.

"I wasn't mad at you, Mitch. I was mad at myself, because I can't control my jealousy sometimes." He saw my confused expression, so he continued. "I just didn't like him hitting on you. He could take advantage of you so easily. And then you invited me over, and I refused cause I'm an asshole, and I wasn't there to protect you. And if anything happened to you I swear-"

I cut him off with a hug. He wrapped his arms tightly around me and I did the same. I let him cry on my shoulder until he finally calmed down. I pulled away and cupped his face with my hand.

"Scotty, I never want us to fight again. I missed you so much." Now I was tearing up.

"Me neither. And if you want to be with Alex, then so be it.", he said with sad eyes.

"I never said I wanted to be with Alex. He doesn't even see me that way, Scott."

"You're so oblivious, Sunshine. Don't ever let him force you into something you don't want to do.", he said, stroking my hair.

"Will you be there to protect me, Scotty?", I asked and burried my face in the crook of his neck.

"Of course, Mitchy.", he said simply. "Always."
