I groaned with the unfamiliar blast of hot air that greeted me as I stepped off of the large plane. I knew America would never compare to the weather of England, but it would definitely be something I had to get used to. My feet somehow guided my body towards the inside of the airport, where I collected my bags and made my way to agonizingly long line.

"And this is definitely you, Ma'am?" The brooding security officer was handling the girl's passport uneasily. The United Kingdom lion crest glittered unusually on the front.

"O-of course it is!" She barely stuttered, flashing a warm and pleasant smile. The security officer proceeded to do little more than shrug and step aside to let her through the metal detectors-

BWWRRRAANG, BWWRRRAANG, BWWRRRAANG, !

"O-oh sorry, that's just m'earrings!" She brushed back some of her hair to reveal tiny silver studs, that barely seemed capable of setting off such a machine used to detect possibly dangerous weapons.

Without waiting for a response, she dashed through the gates and out into the hustling and bustling city that awaited, leaving behind a puzzled security guard.

"What an odd girl." He mumbled, turning to the next traveller.

Stiffness greeted Sawnik as light flooded into her eyes, followed by an unusual whirring. "Oh- heck!" Her eyes narrowed as she glanced down.

After having escaped military barracks several years before, she was well accustomed to her Cyborg body. But what she wasn't used to was a huge dent in the beautifully painted blue metal, and angry looking exposed wires. As her senses came to her, she further noticed her surroundings. She was crumpled over in what was supposedly an... alleyway.. yes.. that explained the trash bags surrounding her. She almost made a joke about being with her- no, it was no time for dark self depricating humour.

She shakily stood, reaching her full height of around seven foot. The stiffness eventually ceased; which she assumed was from being thrown, attacked, hit with an axe - it could have been anything. Sawnik often took the law into her own hands when need be: fighting crime and an unusually strong sense of morale was programmed into her, after all. The Cyborg stood, making her way into the street.
