CHAPTER 1

"Tree.. Tree... Tree.... Another tree... Tre-" I was cut off my mom clearly annoyed by me trying to occupy myself.

"STOP IT!" she yelled, turning round from the front seat to look at me, "Cant you focus on something else. I know your angry about moving and I'm sorry but this is really big for me, for us. You'll love it hear, and you'll make new friends. The school is great here. Plus there's a really big library near our house, I no you love to read"

I sighed, I do love my mom, but I really miss everything about new York. The busy streets, the load noses, my friends, my apartment.

Let me introduce myself, my names Dove swan, strange name I know. I used to live in new york with my mum until she got a job change and now she's dragging me half way across the country to florida. I'm 15turning 16 in tomorrow yay me ( Note sarcasm.) I have emerald green eyes and brown hair that comes just below my shoulders. Oh and I'm a werewolf, well i proffer shape shifter. I know what your thinking ,she's crazy, nope I'm not my dad was a werewolf my mums human.

Also when I turn 16 I'll fine my mate. A mate is a werewolf's soul mate the person they were meant to be with, they are paired up with you by the moon goddess. There not always perfect but they are always perfect for you, Now that thats finished..

I really don't wanna move to Florida I mean it's filled with blond bimbos, with no intelligence what- so -ever. Oh my god don't even get me started on the sun, if I stay outside too long I'll look like a dried tomato, and that will not look pretty.

All the thoughts that were clouding my mind started to give me a head ace. So I got myself into a comfy place, until I felt my eyes getting heavy.

"Honey... Honey.... WAKE UP!" my mom screamed making me jump up and hit my head on the car rout.

" What the hell mom!!" I yelled back rubbing my forehead.

"Sorry Hun, we're here. Did you know that your a really heavy sleeper?" she laughed before instructing the moving men (the people who help you to put things in your new house) where things in the house go.

I grabbed my bag bag from next to me and jumped out of the car. It was so posh around here, big houses with fancy gardens. Like something from a movie.

I slowly turned around to face my new home. I was amazing and big. It was painted yellow but a rich yellow. With loads of windows, plus a stone path leading up to the door. Im in heaven. (Picture of house on side)

A high pitched squeak leaves my mouth before I sprint for the front door.

As I open it, it smells like a new house, ohh yeah I love that smell. I race with myself up stairs to go check out the rooms. There are 4 rooms , I'm not very good at math but I'm pretty sure I get two rooms. I scream again only loader, earning a laugh from my mom coming up the marble stairs.

"Do you like?" she said while hugging my side.

"I love, do I get two rooms?" I asked with a hopeful smile.

She giggle while nodding.

I did a mental happy dance in my head while jumping up an down.

" I could get used to this"

Then I lay down on my double bed and feel sleep weigh down on me.

(In the morning)

"Sweet heart you've got school today you need to wake up" I open my eyes to see my mother hovering over me shaking me slightly.

"okay I'm awake. What time does school start ?" I ask while walking to my wardrobe and pulling out random clothes.

"9:00"

I look over at my clock which read 8:40.

"MUM! I've only got 20 minutes" I yell running round my room like some short of mental person.

"Better hurry up then" she yells back.

Sometimes I really hate my mom.

I jump in the shower for a record time of 2 minutes 32 seconds. No I just made that up but it was quick.

When I was ready i hoped down the marble stair with time to spare, I'm proud of myself.

I was wearing my white converse high tops, with my Zara skinny jeans, and then a plain white crop top covered with my zip up jacket.

"I'm ready mom!" I shout hoping she'll here me from the ego, I mean this is a pretty big house.

Our pack was attacked by rouges, rouges are wolfs with no pack, most of the pack died, some ran, and some we don't know what happened to them . My dad died in that battle that's why it's just me and mom.

We came here to be safe. We already got permission to live on alpha Morrison's land. Alpha Morrison has the most roofless pack in the would they are the strongest too. The dead land pack.

Then I remembered ill finds my mate today.

My mom come down wearing a white dress with a black blazer over it and black heels.

"who are you trying to impress ?" I say anger lingering in my voice.

"No one I'm going over to the dead land pack to ask about us joining their pack. I think it would be good for us." she says grabbing her car keys and heading out the door.

I storm out, slamming the door behind me. I don't wanna join a pack especially that pack.

We arrive at the school gates and everyone stares at us. I feel suddenly self revolved. I hated the attention.

My mon said good bye and mouthed Happy birthday and good luck through the window, while handing me my time table.

I walked up to a smalblonde girl and asked her where the office is. She gave me a disgusted look and stomped away.

Everyone hates me great.

Then a small Chinese boy comes to me resting his ad over my shoulder.

" You're Dove Swan, the new girl. Hi.

I'm Eric. The eyes and ears of this

place. Anything you need. Tour guide,

lunch date, shoulder to cry on.

I stare at him, is he for real.

"I'm kind of the "suffer in silence" type." I say just wanting to get away.

not at all " I stuttered hating the attention people were giving me.

I breath a sigh of relief

" Would you mind just pointing me

toward Mr. Varner's class?" I ask checking my time table once more.

Eric leads the way down the corridor loving the attention I'm getting, and I hate it.

" Here we are" he says while walking to his seat.

"You can sit there miss Swan." mr Varner says pointing to a desk at the back of the class room.

We were 20 minutes through the lesson, when the door burst open. An amazing sent filled my nose, it smelt like strawberries and cream.

Then the most gorgeous guy walks in.

'mate.. MATE!' my wolf screams.

My mate sniffs the air then turns my way.

He smirks, grabs a blonde bimbo from the front desk and kisses her.
