[a/n: Hi everybody! *smiles* I wrote this story on a whim out of boredom.
But please read it and reviews are very much appreciated (or rather encouraged :3)
Suggestions are also welcome in the reviews]
Chapter one
My name is Sanae Yuuka, 16 years old. It’s my first day of school as a transferee student and I think I’m ending up late for class. If that’s the case, then I’d rather stay in the hospital and rest for a whole week. But that would never happen unless I have a good reason since my Mom is very serious about my schooling.
“Mom, I’m late for school!” Yuuka yelled as she stood at the foot of their staircase. She had been was impatiently waiting for her Mom to come down because she promised that she would accompany Yuuka on her first day of school.
Yeah, like I said she’s very serious…
“Okay, I’m coming!” her Mom replied. She was confused that she forgot what she was currently doing in a hurry. She walked here to there and vice versa.
Yuuka ran out of patience, she had waiting for over fifteen minutes. “Mom, don’t ride me to school! I’ll be going now!”
My Mom used to be a business woman in different kinds of things until she became the CEO of some company, they may have seen the potential in her as a very hardworking and smart woman. She's really busy to have time to take care of me though. I barely see her at home, and if I'm lucky she’d cook dinner for me with paperwork still on the table.
“Please watch over me, Dad.” Yuuka softly said as she kissed the picture frame at the end table near the windows.
I only knew my Dad through pictures and stories of my Mom at night. He died when I was little, I don’t remember much from my childhood because it’s all blurry and it always gives me a headache. Mom said he had a disease that had no cure. I didn’t understand why people who are important have to be taken away ever since.
Yuuka ran off as a piece of sandwich still stuffed in her mouth. She was running a kilometer away from the bus stop, she caught her breath first and smiled seeing that the bus was still there. Then, she ran faster but just that one moment when Yuuka picked up her speed, the bus also took off.
“You’ve got to be kidding me.” she said under her breath. After a little while, she felt like she was being watched. She turned around and saw a guy walking towards her. He was wearing his school uniform and appears to be a high school student.
“Unfortunate isn't it? I was left too.” the guy sadly said as he stroke his hair apparently acting like a model.
Yuuka was confused and recalled the memory of the bus leaving her behind. She saw the guy standing there and obviously staring at her wide-eyed. The picture inside her head made Yuuka ask herself, “Who the heck is this guy?” she eyed the guy suspiciously from head to toe.
The guy saw this and, “What I… I mean…” the guy began explaining himself. He couldn’t take his eyes off Yuuka. It was like he couldn't believe he was talking to her right at that moment. “the bus was crowded so I decided not to get on.”
He lied.
“I see…” Yuuka said. She doubted the guy, she knew it was wrong but who knows if he had bad intentions on her? She didn’t care if he was good looking, no one can be trusted these days.
The guy still stared at Yuuka. He was thinking that Yuuka literally resembled someone, a dear old friend. Yuuka noticed that the guy’s eyes were pasted on her.
