MI High: Zoe's return

Zoe's return Part 2

Recap:

"Oh, Thomas, you think you're so smart." Dom shook his head and began to run back to HQ. The others fell unconcious on the street. They were helpless.

What will the team do now?

Dominic made his way back to HQ while Zoe and Tom were trying to get the others to answer their communicators. They gave up and called Frank.

“Frank, Dom took the mastermind and Dan, Keri and Aneisha went after him. They aren’t answering their communicators.” Tom said biting his lip.

“What? Tom I don’t understand why would Dom take-“

Tom cut him off, “Doesn’t matter just come here.” Suddenly the lift opened. Zoe and Tom turned to find Dominic.

“Aww, Tom, calling Frank to save the day. Zoe, that boy put tracking devices on us both, the freak.” Dom laughed.

“Leave him alone Dom, you’ve done enough. Why have you bought the mastermind back here?” Zoe stood behind Tom nervously.

Dom ignored Zoe. “Thomas you can’t protect Zoe from her own boyfriend.” Dominic laughed.

“Dom, you aren’t my boyfriend anymore.” Zoe growled from behind Tom.

Dom chuckled, “Why is that Zoe?” Zoe didn’t answer, and kept quiet.

“Leave her alone.” Tom warned.

Dom sighed and shook his head. “Will you ever learn Tom?”  He put the mastermind down on the table and walked over to Tom Tackling him to the ground and then Zoe.

Tom was about to get up but Dom pushed him down. “You think you’re so clever, putting tracking devices on us, getting the others to chase me. Well, now they’re unconscious on the street, so what’re you going to do now?” He kicked Tom roughly before taking the mastermind and leaving.

Tom put an arm round Zoe and pulled her closer.

“I can’t believe I trusted him, this is all my fault.” She sighed, between sobs.

“Zoe, it isn’t your fault, you weren’t to know, it’s ok.” Tom hushed, kissing the top of her head. She cuddled against Tom’s chest, tears dripping on to his T-shirt. Suddenly the lift opened and Frank came in.

“Guys, what happened?” He asked, helping them both up.

“Dom, he betrayed us, he’s going to make the mastermind work for him.” Tom explained, holding Zoe close still trying to comfort her.

“Ok, I’ll get Stella on his case. You said the others weren’t answering their communicators?”

“Yeah, I think they’re unconscious, that’s what Dom said.” Tom answered.

“Ok, stay here, I’ll go look for them.” Frank said leaving.

"They're in Mart Lane I think."  Tom turned to Zoe. “So, erm.” Tom stuttered. He knew what he wanted to say, he wanted to ask Zoe out, but the words wouldn’t form in his mouth.

“A date?” Zoe asked. Tom blushed slightly and nodded.

“Yeah.” He smiled kissing her gently. “You know, I’ve always loved you. I just tried not to show it. And then you left, and Dan clearly fancied Keri, and I couldn’t believe he would do that. He clearly fancied you, and then Keri comes along and-“ Zoe cut him off, kissing him. Tom smiled.

“shh.” Zoe shushed him, and he looked into her blue eyes.

“I love you, Zoe.” He looked down, half embarrassed at his confession.

“I love you too Tom.” Zoe smiled at him. Tom must have been smiling madly, and blushed because of it. Just then his pencil buzzed. He jumped and answered it.

“Tom, where are the others? We can’t find them.” Frank said nervously.

“They should be in Mart Lane.” Tom frowned.

“Mart lane? Tom we’re right here.” Keri smiled from behind him. Tom and Zoe jumped and turned around.

“Frank, they’re here don’t worry.” Tom said, putting his pencil back. Dan was holding Dom firmly in his grip, and his hands were tied with rope.

Tom smirked, “Not so smart now, are you Dominic.” Dom mumbled something like shut up, as Frank and Stella appeared out of the lift.

“Guys, you caught Dominic!” Frank congratulated.

“I wonder what would have happened if Tom wasn’t in HQ?” Keri asked.

“Dom would have gotten away with it.” Stella smiled, “You saved us all Tom.”

“You’re amazing.” Zoe smiled, taking his hand in hers. Tom blushed.

“So are you Zoe.” He replied.

“Guys, stop with the, complimenting.” Dan cried. Everyone chuckled.

“Tom?” Aneisha asked, breaking the silence. “Why were you in HQ so early?” Tom stopped smiling, and tears formed in his eyes.

“Dominic, was, replacing me; I was getting a few things and going.” Tom sighed, a tear trickling down his face. They seemed to have forgotten Dom was there. Dan still had a firm grip on him though.

“Tom, no-one can replace you, as Zoe said, you’re amazing.” Aneisha said. Frank nodded.

“Tom, you’re part of the team, you can’t leave.” Frank said.

“I’m not leaving now.” Tom smiled.

There was a few seconds silence before Stella spoke,

“I’m going to take Dominic into his prison cell. See you at 8 Frank!” She called as she and an aggravated Dominic went into the lift.

“So you and Stella are back together!” Keri cried. Frank blushed slightly.

“Yeah, yeah, yeah.” Frank said. “You all ok?” He said hurriedly changing the subject. The 5 nodded. “Zoe, are you staying with us?”

Zoe looked up at Tom, and then at the others. Then she nodded. “Yeah, I’m staying, if that’s alright with you.” She turned to Frank.

“Of course, how about you lot?” Frank said.

“Frank, of course we want her to stay!” Aneisha laughed.

“Especially Tom.” Dan remarked. Tom blushed and looked down at Zoe, smiling.

“Especially me.” He smiled, pecking her lips.
