Chapter 27 part. 2

Jack's Pov

We walked cautiously while worried about Mark. The smell of the rotten corpse became worst as we continue further the morgue, my eyes set in every direction.

After a long walk, we came across a small body bag. I inspected it while Anti continued walking.
I heard him gasp loudly, I stopped looking at the small corpse and put it in it's respective place.
After just a few steps, I saw a long haired woman who was lying lifelessly on the ground. I looked further at her only to see a bullet hole straight at her head, I clicked my tongue and sighed. "who would do such a thing..." I whispered under my breath..

Suddenly, I felt a cold hand touch my shoulder. I jumped and immediately looked behind me to see Mark, he seemed glad to see us but something seems.. Off?

Mark: Jack! Anti! Oh am I glad to see you, how I've missed you two!

Jack: We were looking for you.. Are you feeling alright? Are you hurt?

I looked at Anti who seemed to have a suspicion at Mark, same goes for me. He tilted his head in confusion, I kept quiet causing a awkward silence. Mark stared at Anti with a creepy smile, I stood in front of him interrupting his stares.

Jack: We're glad to see you too Mark.

Mark tilted his head and looked at me with piercing eyes, my heartbeat started getting faster and sweat streaks down my face for some reason. He just.. Stared at me with a smile, I step back a bit.

Mark: You look like you've seen a ghost?

I shook my head and laughed sheepishly, scratching the back of my head. I felt Anti yank me by my arm to his side, Mark looked at us confused.

Anti: Just drop it Dark, we know it's you!

Mark: What do you mean? It's me, Jack do you believe him?!

Jack: I don't know Mark..

Anti pulled out his knife and aimed for Mark, luckily I caught his hand and stood between them. He stood there surprised, he tried to struggle but I fought back.

Anti: What are you doing?!

Jack: We're not sure yet!

Anti: Come on Jack! If he's your best friend, then you should know who he really is!

Jack: B-but.. Can we atleast make sure?

Anti: Oh for god's sake Jack!

We heard a gun click and a cold barrel behind my head, I looked behind and saw Mark pointing his gun at me. I was stunned, I couldn't move.

Mark: Drop your weapon Anti, I'll shoot.

I sweat nervously, shaking violently. Anti bit his lips and looked away, he sighed and threw the knife away. Mark laughed, similarly to Dark's.

Mark: Good..

Anti: Now it's your turn, put your gun down, I don't want it to get messy.

Mark grinned and glanced at Anti.
I felt the barrel wasn't on my head anymore, but Mark quickly pointed the gun at Anti.

Mark: Don't go near us Jack...

I back away slowly still looking at the both of them. Suddenly Anti moved swiftly and stole the gun from Mark's hand and pointed it at him, Mark was stunned and didn't move. I ran towards them but a strong force threw me away, I hit my back at the edge of the dissection table. I collapsed, my back hurts like hell. I looked at them and saw Dark confronting Anti, I stood up, the pain becoming worst.

I walked slowly towards the knife Anti threw and charged at Dark. I tackled him and tried to stab him but he teleported away as soon as I thrusted the knife, I hit the floor, the knife buried on the ground.

Mark returned to normal, as his once pale skin turned to his normal one. Anti was still pointing the gun at Mark so he panicked at the sight, Anti immediately put it down and apologized.

Mark: W-what happened?

Jack: Dark brainwashed you, and you tried to kill us.

Mark: Really..? I'm sorry, I didn't know- I wasn't aware! And-

Anti: Don't sweat it, we understand. Did he do anything else to you?

Mark: O-oh it's-

Mark felt something in his leg, and was surprised.

Mark: It's gone..

Jack: What's gone?

Mark: Dark, h-he shot me. Earlier before I went crazy

Anti: Don't worry, you're safe now.
We just need to find your other friend and we'll be fine.
