Skylar’s POV:
‘I have had enough of their pointless comments!’ I thought angrily as my brother, Tyler and his best friend, who is my Alpha and also my mate laughed at me while I walked toward class. I snarled loud enough for Tyler know that I had lost my patience. Alpha Blake Ryder turned around with a frown sketched upon his face. Then he knew I was his mate.
** After School**
‘That idiot rejected me!’ I thought as I stalked into the pack house. Blake wanted to talk to me alone and that’s when he told me that I wasn’t an alpha female type, and then he walked away. I was so caught up with my thoughts that I didn’t notice Blake, Tyler, Jessica, and the others all sitting in the living room.
I was walking down the stairs when Bryan called out, “Hey Skylar, get me some chips.” Then they all laughed at me as I stopped and looked over at him. Dropping my school bag and my duffle bag, I called on my wolf, Saphira. ‘Let them have it, Saph.’ I said as I watched through my eyes. “No.” Saphira growled. Everyone looked over at us and their mouths dropped. “What did you say, Brat?!” Trent sneered at us.
“I have had enough of your bullshit. And guess what you and this pathetic wolf pack can go to hell!!!!” Saphira snarled as they stood up and turned toward me. Blake stood stunned with an expression of adoration casted toward me. Saphira cleared her throat and said, “I, Skylar Rosalinda Lily Mae Turner, wolf of the Blood Ground Pack and Saphira, her Guardian wolf resigns from the Blood Ground Pack as member and as Family.”
Every tie to the pack was being severed; Saphira turned on my heels and grabbed the bags. Then my mom and Dad came running out of the house. “Oh Skylar, please don’t leave! I love you. They are stupid to think that you were useless… Please don’t leave, sweetheart.” My father cried as he held my shoulders looking into my brown eyes. I looked down at my feet then looked over at the pack. “I’m sorry, Daddy. But these people that are standing over there are not my family anymore. Goodbye, daddy, I’ll miss you. Goodbye, Blood Ground Pack, Have a better life.” I said kissing my dad’s wet cheek and shifting into my Golden white wolf.
I disappeared into the woods with both bags in my mouth. ‘Don’t turn back, girl. Time to stop living in the past and look forward to the future,’ Saphira words echoed in my head. I crossed over the border between Blood Ground and Blacken Sky. Were I was welcomed in with opened arms. I told my new Alpha Jaxon Grey about my old pack and he promised to protect me from anything and everything that harms me. I got closer to my Beta Jason McCall and he adopted me as his little sister, which I’m cool with that. I love my new family, but I have a feeling that this wasn’t the last time I’ll see the Blood Ground Pack.
