(Niall’s POV)

I sat there staring at my hands. They were still shaking terribly from what I had done merely moments before. My fingers trembled until I locked them together and tried my best to calm myself down. I had taken over Zayn's body, controlling bus movements and speech. I had done it once before when Chad was being bullied. I hadn't thought that I could do it again, but obviously I could. So there I sat, next to Chad, avoiding Zayn.

When he told me to get the hell out of his head I could feel the works vibrating within my chest. He was so angry that I had done so, but I didn't think that a simple touch on the shoulder would throw my body into Zayn's, momentarily taking over.

I felt terrible for what I had done. Not just emotionally, but physically as well. I had to get away from Zayn for a while. I had been non stop following him and asking questions that he didn't have all the answers to. But I needed answered, especially to the question as to where I was for six months. I had no memory of being gone. It had only felt like I was asleep for a few hours. I sighed loudly and looked over at Chad. He was sitting silently, eating his lunch.

I continued to shake terribly and I felt two pairs of eyes staring my way. I looked over and Zayn and Louis were looking over at me. Or rather, at Chad because there was no way Louis could even know I was there.

"Chad, I wish that you could see me and hear me. I want to tell you about all the things that had happened. Zayn is really helping me through this. It's weird. He didn't know that I even existed before. Turns out, all I had to do was die to get him to notice me."

I leaned forward on my elbows once my shakes had stopped. I was left exhausted and ready for my next lapse in time.

Chad sighed next to me and set down his food. He rubbed his eyes like he was tired and then looked over at me, or rather through me. I sat up straight because it seemed as though Chad had sensed me or something.

"Hey Chad." Chad looked up from my area, ignoring my invisible presence. Louis was standing there, looking scruffy with his growing stubble, long hair, and oversized footie jersey. He had his hands jammed in his pockets and looked overall uncomfortable. "Can I sit?" He asked, taking a chair from the table and sitting down. He began small talk with Chad, leaving my best friend confused.

I looked around the cafeteria until my eyes landed on the table where Louis had been sitting. Zayn continued to state at me and I stood up when he motioned for me to come over to him. I walked slowly over to the table and took a seat opposite from Zayn. "H-hey" I muttered. "I'm sorry about before."

"S'okay." Zayn muttered back. He locked his fingers in front of him. "Don't do it again, though."he stared straight ahead of him at me. "It felt... Really weird."

"You should have felt it from my end." I joked. A small smiled appeared on Zayn's face. He had such a nice smile. I couldn't help but blush. "Zayn, can I ask you something?"

"Go ahead." He nodded.

"I remember you saying something to me." I fiddled my thumbs together. "That night before I disappeared for months..."

We were sitting in the dirt. Leaves were all around and Zayn's steady hands were holding my shoulders to keep me still. It didn't hurt anymore and I was glad for that. Then Zayn spoke.

"No more questions, okay. I'm going to get you out of here and hey, maybe we can go out sometime when you-"

"You said we could go out sometime." I spoke up. Zayn's brown eyes widened, making me blush further. " I mean you were probably saying that just to make it easier on me, but-"
