Michelle lied to Jacob that she was in love with another man so she could get out an abusive relationship with Jacob. When Michelle doesn't do anything Jacob tell her to do he beats her until he see blood or damage. One day he beat her so bad he busted her eye and broke her leg. Michelle got tired of getting beat up and finally escape from the abusive relationship, but 10 days later he found her. Michelle had given up on faith. Michelle started to think of plans to escape from him. She thought to herself well, if I kill him I would go to jail, but if I make it seem like it was self defense and get a lawyer it's a fifty percent chance I wouldn't.
