Estefania's POV

"See me in my office Ivan" I call out to my personal assistant as we finish the board meeting.

I am really exhausted after today's work but I have an unfinished task which I must conclude so I head for my office waiting for Ivan.

He comes in 5 minutes later. I sit straight and ask him to sit down so we can talk business.

"How far with the shipments?" I ask briefly

"We haven't delivered them." Ivan replies.

"Why?" I ask angrily.

"The purchase of the houses has not been clarified, the tenants are taking legal action against us which doesn't look too good."

"Schedule a meeting with the attorney immediately, I need to talk to him this afternoon." I say shortly not in the mood for this crap.

"You can leave, make sure take care of the other shipments"

"Good day"

I watch him leave and try to get busy with some paperwork.

At about 3:30 in the afternoon, a knock comes on my door and I tear my eyes away from my computer and ask the person to come in.

Ivan's head makes its way inside my office before he walks in confidently as usual to my table. I look up to him hoping for some good news putting on my usual neutral face.

" I have spoken with him and your meeting is in thirty minutes, his name is Adriano Ferrier and will like to meet you at his office, your ride is ready and his address has been entered in your the GPS, here is his file."

I smile, finally happy to receive some good news today.
"Thanks Ivan, you can leave and cancel all my appointments for today".

I stand up and straighten up my black off-shoulder gown and step into my black pointy toed shoes. My hand grabs my purse, smoothens my hair and turns the door knob ready to leave. On my way to the parking lot, I am met with some of my workers who greet me shakily and hastily - it isn't surprising cos I'm a really strict person.

The ride to the attorney's office took a while but I arrive just in time for the meeting. The building was not too big but beautiful.

I walk inside and tell the receptionist my purpose of coming and she immediately shows me my way to Adriano's office.

I knock on the door ready to have the meeting.

"Come in." A deep voice answers.

I open the door, walk in and a pair of deep brown eyes turn towards me and my breath hitches my throat. We keep staring at each other before he finally speaks.

"Good afternoon, I assume you are Estefania Perez -"

"Perez Heldado" I cut in sharply.

"My bad, please have your seat. Would you like anything to drink before we start this meeting?" He asks nicely.

"No thanks, I'm good."

"Alright, lets begin."

After two hours of strong speeches, we finally conclude the meeting in his favour but he provides a better alternative for the shipments. I stand up ready to leave, already facing the door but my heart skips a bit when I notice his presence behind me.

His cologne fills the the air which makes me want to snuggle in closer to him. He leans in my ear, his hot minty breath fanning my exposed skin. His hand goes over to my waist but grabs wrist and I feel something flat being placed in my hand.

"You forgot this." He whispers in my ear which makes me shiver a little.

I look down and see the file I brought in my hand and quickly turn around to thank him. He is undeniably close and I look up to him and mutter a quick 'thank you' to him.

His lips are curved in a smirk which makes him twice as hot. I turn to open the door just in time to catch his words-

"See you around, gorgeous."

I close the door with my cheeks tinted in pink which is odd and I'm like...What the hell just happened?!
