It was a dark hour in France. It was three in the morning, and the area was nearly dead silent. No one was out, and no one knew why. Silence flooded the streets, and it was peaceful for once.

However, in the mountains of Mont Blanc, there was a commotion in a kingdom nearby.

The castle was nearly hidden, but it was perched atop the tall mountains. The mountains were also just as quiet as the small civilization close to it, but there was an unusual amount of noise emerging from it.

On the third floor of the castle known as Kastell von Nacht, a girl was singing. Singing at the top of her lungs for no apparent reason, not caring one bit about who heard or listened in. Her voice was husky due to the earliness and awkward timing of the morning, but she could care less. After all, she was a princess. Therefore, who cared? Not her, that's for sure.

Her feet tapped against the ground, her black knee-high boots tossed to the side. She wore a white robe that had a back that slunk against the ground, nearly dragging towards her feet. She snapped her fingers and closed her eyes, holding a karaoke mic close to her mouth.

"I'm tired of dancing here all by myself~"

"Tonight I wanna dance with someone else~"

Her voice chimed like a thousand bells clashing at once. It was almost annoying, but it was obviously and nearly terrifyingly loud. She was slightly off-key, and she couldn't even tell or notice. All she did was tilt her head around and swing her bunned up brown hair from side to side.

"Live out your fantasy here with me~"

"Just let the music set you free~"

Her father took all he could take at this point. He was trying to sleep, but was failing.

He jumped out of bed and uttered a German curse word, his mind throbbing due to his daughter's terrible attempt to sing. He clutched the side of his face and looked down at his green pajamas, slipping on his neon pink bunny slippers.

He growled and bit his lower lip, his brown mustache balancing on his upper one.

"What in hell's name, Leah?!" he yowled. His German accent was thick as he stomped out of his room and down the lengthy flight of stairs, running to the second living-room in which Leah was in.

"Now is not the time to be singing to Madonna! You know this already. You're a young woman with a curfew, and you need to understand that. Just because you're a princess doesn't qualify you to have a higher rank than myself, young lady!"

Leah rolled her eyes and stared at her father in disgust. "I know. I haven't forgotten you."

"Apparently you have! Do you even know who I am?!" her father gasped in an angered tone.

"Yes. You're Hannes Sebastian Wendel Kastner-Himmelreich. How could I forget you, father?"

Silence came between them for a moment before Hannes stared directly at the young woman. He clenched his fists and narrowed his dark brown eyes to slits. "Listen, Leah. You are nineteen years old. It's about time I told you a thing or two about life, isn't it?"

"Uh, yeah," Leah replied. Her face still kept the sarcastic and 'judging you' attitude.

"Sit down. Over there."

"There is something that I should have told you long ago, Leah. There is an ancient prophecy that has been passed down and spoken of through our family for years, and I thought I would mention it to you. You seem like a girl that would gladly attempt to complete this task, even if it takes a while. Are you sure you want to hear this?"

"It was your idea. How can I be sure that you're not just lying to me and trying to get me out of the house? Yeah, I'm nineteen. I guess you want me to move, is that it? You can tell me, father."

"No. This is real."

"Well... Okay. Tell me."

Hannes tapped his fingers and glared at the girl with his brow raised, then he sighed and looked towards his feet. He exhaled nice and slowly.

"Well... You see, there's this thing called the One Triangle. You'll get a letter if you're skilled enough to find it. The whole object of the Triangle is that it unlocks all of your dreams upon your journey, and you're rewarded with one wish if you achieve it. On this journey, you'll make many friends and do new things. You'll find things you've never even heard of, and... Maybe love will even be involved..."

"Um," Leah piped. Her voice was quiet. "What will happen if you get the dreams?"

"The dreams will open up more of your life. They show you ambition and they hint to your future and success."

"Who will send the note?"

"It's unclear."

-----

From that moment on, Leah was determined to find this 'note'. She gathered all of her courage and fell asleep that night, hoping something good would come up the next morning for her. She desperately needed out of the house, and if only goodness came out of leaving, she was up for it.

It just so happened that the next morning, she woke up to see a bright sun peeking out at her from her window. She grinned and looked around, searching for a note. That was when she noticed something hanging from her usually bland door.

The paper was nearly crushed and crumbling, but it was wadded and in readable condition. She raised her brow at the sight, trying to decipher if what was happening was real.

She shrugged and pulled the thumbtack from the door, releasing the note and holding it in her palm. She searched it thoroughly for words, and she found them.

"Leah,

We have discovered that you have the set of skills we need. You are eligible to find the One Triangle, and this is your only chance to find it. The triangle is the key to your destiny, and with this destiny you will find the key to your life... Which opens the box to your heart.

Go this morning at seven, which is also your lucky number. If you leave at this time, you will get a head start on your journey earlier than you would plan. Don't forget to bring anything that you will ever need on this trip, for you have quite the road ahead of you..."

The note wasn't signed, but she could tell it wasn't from anyone around Mont Blanc.

With that, she scurried over to her mirror and adjusted her buns, slinging whatever necessities she desired into a backpack. She packed an extra robe, some lingerie and a lighter, as well as some eyeliner, kitchen knives and a random ring that she found while searching her closet.

Leah felt all bubbly inside as she walked towards the back door that lead to a forest outside. She felt her heart pounding at her chest, her mind almost lightheaded as she tried to look for the One Triangle.

"Surely it must be deep in the woods..."

----

Hannes laughed evilly as he observed his daughter leaving from the back entrance. He watched her from the curtains and kept a smug look on his face, his eyes peeled back from laughter.

"Little did she know..." he smirked.

"I wrote that note."
