Shay's P.O.V.
Maddie left a few hours ago. I practiced the dance a few more times but there's only so many times you can do something before it gets annoying. Right now, I'm reading a new issue of my favourite dance magazine. I really wish I had this one gorgeous blue outfit. I'll have to remember to ask my mom.
"Shay, guess what?" Liam's voice brings me away from my magazine.
"What?" I'm actually interested in what's got him so excited. He's smiling from ear-to-ear and when he's happy, I'm happy.
"I asked Maddie out on a date and she said yes!" He's smiling even wider now and I didn't think that was possible.
"Congrats! That might not be the best idea though."
"Why not?" His smile disappears from his face.
"Maddie seems like a great person but she brings a lot of drama. I walked into the bathroom and something was going on with her and her ex-boyfriend. Then her best-friend is a total witch! I don't understand how someone as nice as Maddie can even be as mean as someone like Kendall."
"Are you talking about Kendall Vertes?" He gets an even bigger frown on his face than before. I nod. "Oh gosh! She's in my history class and she never leaves me alone! I've tried to give her hints that I'm just not interested but she's not getting them!"
Kendall is after my brother? That is wrong in so many ways. There is no way I'm letting her anywhere near my twin. He's way too good for her. Liam actually has a heart unlike her.
"I'm glad that you like Maddie instead of Kendall. I would never let you date her."
"I would never date someone as conceited as her anyway. But does Maddie still have something with her ex? Are they getting back together?"
"No. Maddie doesn't seem like that type of girl. If she said yes to you than she likes you. She looked really uncomfortable when I saw her with her boyfriend. I'm just warning you because he seems like trouble."
"Thank you but I can handle him. I'm willing to fight for her." He smiles at me.
