Leah woke up feeling like she was floating.
She clenched her head as she felt it throb in pain. It nearly hurt to slowly crack open her eyes, her mind boggling with thoughts.
She heard voices.
"Is that you in the room with the cactus?"
"What are you talking about?"
"Nahhhhaananannnanaa."
Her eyes widened with sudden confusion as she saw a catlike robot staring at her. He had tall and pointy ears, a screen for eyes and a smile. His helmet was black tinted, and it was indescribable. His screen flashed multiple neon colors for every emotion that he felt.
"Hiya. Are you okay?" the robot asked. For a robot, he had a French and human-like accent that was obvious.
"Uh... Yeah," Leah replied, smiling nervously.
"Well, since you're on my ship now..." the robot began, "my name is Aero. Pleased to meet you."
"I'm Leah," she replied.
"Yeah, I know."
"You know?"
"Quite."
"Is this apart of the One Triangle thing? So that's why I'm aboard a triangle!" Leah exclaimed, brightness flooding her face. She had to hide her cheerful attitude behind a smile that could be seen from a moon lightyears away.
"One Triangle?" Aero asked. "You believe in that?"
"Yeah, why?" Leah asked. "It's not... Fake, right?"
"Fake? Uh.. I don't know that for sure--"
A voice boomed loudly from a room behind the control panel.
"Oi, Aero," a beastly being growled. "How's the girl?"
"Good," Aero murmured. "Just fine, Flash."
The being known as 'Flash' emerged from the room, approaching both the robot and the girl. He resembled a large wolf of some sort and had an intimidating appearance.
"Well," Aero piped. "Maybe you should go to sleep or something."
"Uh.. How do I trust you?" Leah murmured, her voice quiet. She just got on a ship with a robot and a beast, and what was she supposed to think?
"I feel like I've seen you before," Aero replied, his voice cool and calm. "You know, that isn't bad. I feel like I remember you from something, but I'm not sure what..."
Before Aero could even finish his sentence, Leah had fell into a deep slumber. She was on a spaceship headed to who the hell knows where, and she wasn't even acquaintances with the creatures boarded. What else was there to do but sleep?
Aero and Flash walked back to the resting area in the ship. Aero sighed robotically and glanced over at Flash, his once bright screen turning to a dull gray. His motor deep in his body was purring and he felt like he should have said something, but he knew not of what to say.
"Flash," he murmured. "I feel like I know her from somewhere. Somewhere close."
"She could possibly be a reincarnation, you know," Flash replied, his voice not sounding concerned at all. "Don't worry about it. Do you... Feel a certain way for her or something? Is that what you're saying?"
"I'm not sure. I haven't felt this way in a while, and..." Aero sighed. "This usually doesn't end up the way I want it to."
"What do you mean?" Flash asked.
