Chapter 8: Lai Guan Lin

Mandu POV

[AT THE ORPHANAGE]

It's been so long since I come to this place.

Busan Orphanage is the place that I use to love when I was small until I was 6 years old, I got adopted by a family who live in Seoul. In the orphanage I make a very good friend with a boy name, Lai Guan Lin. He's from Taiwan and he's older than me one year, that's the reason why we grow bond with each other fast. It's been about 10 years now since I last came to the orphanage and see my Linlin.

Today I decided to go there to see how much different can it be after 10 years and I want to see if Guan Lin still there or he got adopted.

When I arrive in Busan, I went straight to the orphanage. To my surprise the orphanage doesn't change at all except that the color of the building change.

"Annyeonhaseyeo" I bow to a lady in front of the orphanage.

"Ne, annyeonhaseyeo" the lady bow back to me. "Are you looking for someone?" the lady continue.

"Not really, it just that I use to live here until I got adopted" I said. 

"Ohh...what's your name?" the lady asked.

"My name is Kim Mandu" I said with a smile.

"What a beautiful name, you can take a look around nothing much change" the lady said with a smile and when back inside the building.

After the lady left, I decided to go to the tree in the backyard where I use to spend time reading book and especially play with Linlin. When I was about three steps away I saw a tall standing figure under the tree.

Closer and closer...I finally remember the tall figure. It's no one other than my Linlin. I decided to walk quietly and approach Linlin.

"Guess who~?" I said in a sing sang voice while covering his eyes.

"Yah-get your hand out of me...and who are you to put your dirty hand on my beautiful face!!" Linlin shouted as loud as he can.

"Yah- how come you can't recognize my voice!?" I finally uncover his eyes and put my arm across my chest.

"Are you Mandu? Kim Mandu that will always hit me on the back of my head?Are you that fierce Kim Mandu?" Linlin asked with a curious smile.

"Yep that's me" I said and jump to hit the back of his head.

"Yah that hurt" Linlin said while rubbing his neck continuously.

"You've grown taller and still ugly, you Taiwan boy" I said with a smirk.

"Yah...I'm not ugly, I'm the handsomest boy you can find in this world" Linlin bluffing about his so called handsome face with a proud smile.

"Pfft...look as if you got a line of girls lining for you" I said with a playful smile.

"Look who's talking about, don't you know I'm you left there's about 1 member long line of girls confessing me" Linlin said while arm crossing.

"Is that so, Mr. Handsome?" I said with a no expression face.

"Yep, that's so Mrs. Shorty!" Linlin and salary to run while I start to chase after him.

It was a good 10 minutes of run and catch. It's been more than a while since I play this with Linlin. Thinking about that moment make me tears up and that got Linlin...

"Mandu, why are you crying?" Linlin with a worried voice.

"It's nothing...its just that I'm happy to be here and especially with you" I said and look straight to Linlin eyes.

Then our eye met and his stare look likes he's staring at soul or somwthing that it's too creepy to handle.

"Mandu I got something to tell you" Linlin said while suddenly hold my hand and "I want to you this a long time ago, but I think it's the right timing and I've been waiting for you...especially this day the day that we met again after 10 years. I've been waiting for so long and I miss you so much. The last I want to say is..." before he finish what's he saying he suddenly get down on his knee and "I love you, Mandu...Can you be my girlfriend?" Linlin said while still holding my hand but his gaze it's so soft that I'm melting inside.

"Yes" I said the answer, finally the answer has been said and we're officially dating🎉❤️
