choi mina could never concentrate in math class, her hands were occupied with doodling on the last page of her notebook. someone's book fell, snapping mina out of her thoughts. her eyes wandered around to see it was her friend's book. she sheepishly picked up her book. mina glared at her back, not because she was awakened from her thoughts, but because her friend, eunha had forgotten her birthday which was today. she quickly went back to doodling. the whole day, she had been thinking her friends would be throwing a surprise party for her, like they do for everyone in her group, although mina was the one who plans all of them. no one had wished her happy birthday yet, not even her brother, daniel. she thought it was strange as daniel was the first one to wish her for the past 16 years. as the day was ending fast, her expectations were getting lower.

she quickly walked into her room, closing and locking the door the moment she got into her room. she dropped her book bag on the floor and grabbed her laptop from her desk and sat against the wall on her bed, the laptop in her lap. she sighed and said quietly to herself, "i don't know what I was expecting" as she opened word. her feelings were popping into her head, and she was typing it all down,

she read it over and over thousands of times and realised how dramatic she was being. she muttered to herself, "stop being such a weak ass bitch get over yourself". she shook her head and closed her laptop and placed it back on her table. she grabbed her homework and turned on some music. she quickly finished it and took a shower. when she went back into her room, she turned off the lights and got in her bed. she saw her phone light up.

she didn't bother opening them, and just set her alarm and put her phone on charge. she snickered, knowing that her classmates and friends just now got the notification from fb that it was her birthday. everyone lowers their expectations and she thought she should learn how to do it too. hearts don't break around here.
