Enoch's POV

When Olive had asked me about my peculiarity I saw the perfect opportunity to mess with her. Not only would my peculiarity freak her out, but it might make her so afraid of me that she would never bother me. It's the perfect plan, all I have to do is just show her one of my creations. Right after I placed the last plate into the cupboards I headed straight for the cellar room. The cellar room was just a small room filled with cupboards. I opened one of the cupboards and looked around. There were nothing in the cabinets besides empty jars. I must have used up my last jar. I let out a loud sigh.

"What's wrong." Asked Olive.

"I just remembered that I had to go into town today an buy something." I said while turning around to face her.

"Oh, but I thought you were going to show me your peculiarity?" Questioned Olive.

"I will, but I have to buy something first." I grunted that she disbelieved my word.

"Oh, okay." She mumbled while looking at the floor and fumbling with her gloves.

I wanted to leave the cellar room but Olive was blocking my way, so I walked closer to her until I was a feet away and looked down at her. She jolted her head up from her hands and stared at me wide eyed. She then parted her lips and was about to say something, when we heard footsteps coming our way. We quickly got out of our positions and stood side by side. As the footsteps gotten closer, we could now see that it was Victor coming towards us. He looked at the both of us suspiciously but decided not to ask anything.

"Olive, Ms. Peregrine wants to talk to you in the dining room." Said Victor.

I watched as Olive nodded and scurried off in the direction of the dinning room. As I turned my eyes toward Victor I could see he had an eyebrow raised.

"What?" I asked narrowing my eyes to him.

"Nothing." Victor responded while shaking his head and a slight smirk appearing on his face.

"If it was nothing, then you wouldn't be smirking. So what is it?" I nearly shouted at him.

"It just that I didn't think you would have a thing for redheads, yet again, I didn't think you have a thing for anyone." He answered.

"The hell you talking about!" I demanded.

He laughed. "Olive, I'm talking about Olive. The sarcastic and moody Enoch has a thing for Olive." He said while trying to catch his breath.

I scoffed. "Are you out of your mind? I don't have a thing for her." This time I did shout at him.

"Sure you don't, just like you didn't have a thing for Emma before." He responded while crossing his arms.

" I didn't have a thing for Emma in the past, just like I don't have a thing for Olive now." I answered while mirroring him.

He raised up his hands in surrender. "Fine, if that's what you say." Responded Victor.

I was going to tell him off but got interrupted by Ms. Peregrine and Olive coming into the kitchen.

"What's going on in here." Ms. Peregrine asked suspiciously while looking at the two of us.

"Nothing." Victor and I said at the same time.

Ms.Peregrine looked at the both of us with narrowed eyes but decided that it would be best not to ask. "Anyways, Victor would you mind taking Olive into town today and showing her the market?I would have taken her myself but I have to look after the younger children." She asked.
