"Hello, mom," Julienne muttered angrily to her mother and did not even look at her. "Hello Julienne, unfortunately, we all have a past and not everyone can respect that," Lorena muttered through gnashed teeth and stared hatefully in the headmistress's direction. "Yeah, whatever," Julienne said and left without asking anything else. "Julienne, your room awaits you. It is on the third floor," the headmistress chirped and she nodded in acknowledgment, then passed by her, as if she was thin air. She took the elevator and remarked how big and beautiful this palace was. On the left side, there were a cafeteria, a modern science lab as the label suggested it. She came from the big music and festivities hall, which was surrounded by many classrooms. On the right side, there was a hospital wing, the IT department and many more rooms, waiting to be explored. Unfortunately, Julienne was not in the mood to have a look at the palace now. Although, she had to admit, that the design was beautifully chosen. It was a combination of technology and nature with a very surprising result.
On the one hand, many parts of the palace were enriched with mesmerizing plants. Flowerpots hanging down the ceiling, flowers growing on the walls, hanging planters out of metal bowls, lavender in pots could be seen throughout the building. On the other hand, many TV screens could be spotted here. Julienne also saw some oddly looking robots or machinery, she wasn't sure, what exactly they were, but they were carrying Chinese food in little boxes to the programmers at their desk in the IT room. Then she saw a robot cleaning up the mess that was on the floor. Hm, this could have been useful home! When Julienne arrived in her room, she threw her bag on the floor and looked around her a bit. There were nice paintings with cats, the bed looked very comfortable and everything in this room could not be even compared to what she had home. The king size bed was decorated with dolphin patterns and to her astonishment, the water on the blanket looked so real, she could have sworn she had the possibility to swim in it, yet it felt so fluffy when she threw herself into it.
A Persian beautiful rug caressed her feet. She also had a desk in the room. Wow, there was even a computer! "Meow, meow, meow," someone meowed heartbreakingly under the bed. "Snickers?" Julienne squeaked and attempted to hug him, but he was faster than her and jumped on the chair. "I don't know how you made it here, but I am glad you did!"
"Meow, meow," the cat meowed and waved with its paw to Julienne as if he wanted to bro fist.
"I don't know how I got here! But I should make the best of it! Maybe I'll decorate the room later!" she thought. And off they went to the dining hall. There were no waiters. Instead, there were machines. Students pressed on specific buttons on the automatic meal makers and they got then several delicious meals: Chicken Schnitzel, Hot Dogs, and different types of Pizza, waffles, chicken souvlaki pita, frozen yoghurt, chocolate chip cookies, vegetarian spring roll, sweet sour chicken, spicy California roll, buffalo chicken wings and others. The meal makers were purple and different images with birds eating bread crumbles adorned them. Apparently, they were also very fast. A girl wearing some punk shirts ordered a Chicken Schnitzel and got it five seconds later on a plate.
The dining hall was garnished with bows and colorful balloons, while the traditional school plant, musk was prevailing in different forms in the room. The students were wearing their best outfits and generally, everyone was very joyful. Julienne was glad no one paid special attention to her because she wasn't wearing preppy clothes like the others and was convinced nobody would like her therefore.
Julienne pressed the blue "Cook" button on the meal maker and she got faster than an eye bat buffalo chicken, just the way she liked it. She took the plate and went to the dining tables. "Hurry up, Anne! The welcome speech is about to happen and we might miss it!" The two girls were both very well dressed: expensive designer clothes, shoes, a bag to die for, hair styled as if their hairstylists were following them around twenty-four hours a day and very nice , red fingernails. Holy cat! Julienne felt so inferior she pretended not to exist when one of them asked her if she had by chance a chewing gum. "Newbies, always so shy and stuck up!" one of them shrugged her shoulders and went away with her friend giggling. "Hopefully there are some nice people here too," a voice in Julienne's head muttered.
