Happiness was no longer a concept that existed in my life. It seemed I was just existing to exist. The little sanity I had left was with Dean and if I left, as much as I wanted to, I'd surely become delirious.
After he exposed the real him, like he promised he would, and left me on the floor covered with bruises I made it a priority to find out who this 'Clarissa' was and why her name had this affect on him. I tried to use the sex we had to my advantage, to catch him at a point when he was most vulnerable and open to a slip up, but as I already knew Dean was too smart for that. After the incident he became quiet. He didn't say much or do much around me anymore and as much I hated the brooding silence that came with it, I found myself constantly battling with my inner thoughts mainly with the idea of falling in love with him.
On that day, he left his phone at home and although i would never go through his personal stuff it never really interested me until now. His name was saved as ji-ho, a name that Dean, both of them for that matter, really didn't like to mention around me but always slipped up on. I was annoyed when he didn't take my phone call seriously but yet here we were in a random coffee shop close to the house.
"Do you think this is a smart idea? If Dean finds out he'll kill us both" he loudly whispered
"Of course this isn't smart I already know that but i have questions and you're the only one that can answer them"
"I swear..."
"You swear what? Huh? Just hurry up and speak so we can both get out of here"
"What do you want to know?"He sighed finally giving in
"Who's Clarissa?"I immediately asked
"I don't feel comfortable telling you this shit. if Hyuk didn't tell you why should I?"
"Stop being such a bitch Zico" I scowled
"Clarissa was Hyuks ex girlfriend" he plainly said
"So what happened? Why did they break up?"
"Kwon is a dangerous son of a bitch Jasmine I'm surprised you're still with him"
"I didn't ask for your opinion on what I'm doing, what I asked was what happened?"
"He found her with another man in the bed they shared, found out they'd been fucking since the beginning of their relationship and well she left him"
"I don't fucking believe you. Come on, does i look like I was born yesterday?"
"Listen you're smart figure it out yourself. do you want me to give you details in the middle of fucking coffee shop?"
"What do you two do huh? What 'work' do you do ji-ho?"
"First off don't call me by my government out in public are you crazy?! Number two that's not information I can give you I'm sorry" he said glaring at me
"Zico we're already risking our lives being here together so you might as fucking well tell me or I swear to god I'll hurt you my damn self"
"You're just as crazy as he is. Fuck. I'll tell you about Clarissa but that's all" he said giving in looking over his shoulder
'Hyuk and Clarissa were together for about 2 years which is a long time considering how young we were. They were madly in love, or well he was more in love with her than she was with him. After he caught her cheating he blew a fuse and let's just say on that day... Clarissa left to be in a better place. He went quiet after that, fully immersed himself in 'work'." he told me looking over his shoulder
"How old is young?"
"They were both 16." I stopped for a while to process all the information Zico has fed me. They were young. Way too young to be caught up in all of this. Honestly it made me think I could end up like she did. Six feet under because of ... love.
"Then all of a sudden you came along and reignite the crazy in him"
"What can I say? I do drive him insane" I smugly chuckled attempting to laugh off the fear and uncertainty I felt at that moment.
"You think that's funny?" He asked screwing up his face
"Save my number. I'd like to do this with you again ji-ho" i laughed walking off
They're perfect for each other he thought to himself watching her leave. They were indeed both messed up but zico couldn't help but feel they'd be the downfall of each other. Dean didn't need anyone to amplify his crazy he had that all covered by himself. What was it about Dean that had all the girls falling at his knees? When there was a prospect of you losing your life simply by knowing his name what was the point?
