"I can't stand properly". I told my husband. " Just try and move a bit please we are almost close to the car". My husband responded with fear and worry. He was so worried and scared.
As I tried to walk a bit faster, I discovered that the car seemed too far, but with words of encouragement from kwame it was a bit easier for me. Then he quickly used one hand to open the door. I wasted no time in entering the car. I sat in the back seat though!.
"Darling please try and hold your self. We would be in the hospital in no time. "He said with a little boldness but a bit of fear still heard in he's voice.
" Just hurry before I give birth in the car." I said smiling. "You put me in this condition anyways so just bear seeing me like this." I said trying to make the tensed air a bit airy.
" Aliyah must u be like these in this kind of situation. Look how stressed u are. Baby number two would take a while. Am kinda scared of putting u through this again almost immediately after the first." he said trying to sound romantic.
Before we got married, we had issues of how many kids we intend giving birth to. He wanted four I wanted only two but then finalised on three. Just like a bargain between a buyer and seller. He nearly argued my life out.
Eventually, we arrived the hospital. And kwame quickly turned of the ignition and hurried to the other side of the car to help me out. Just before we entered the reception area of the hospital, two nurses quickly ran towards us. They then put me on a wheel chair cos I couldn't walk further. Then I was wheeled into the labour room.
After what seemed like two hours, I heard the shrill but sharp cry of my baby girl. She glittered despite the blood on her body. Her eyes were sharp and promising. Instantly I named her Gold.
