Poppy POV

I woke up with something bright in front of my face. I look around as my eyes are slowly opening. The walls were white and I felt numb all over my body.

A guy with a white coat comes in with a clipboard in his hand. "Hello, I'm Dr. Adams. How are you feeling?" The guy asks.

"Numb, but overall fine." I said, honestly.

"I'll bring your boyfriend in." Dr. Adams said.

"I don't h-" Before I can finish my sentence, Dr. Adams leaves and closes the door.

"-don't have a boyfriend." I finish my sentence.

A minute later, the door opens and Ryder appears.

"Ryder?" I asked, confused.

"Yeah, I brought you here. If your wondering." He said.

I smile as I remembered what happened. "Why did the doctor say you were my boyfriend?" I asked.

"So I can come in and check if you were ok." Ryder said.

I smiled at him. "Thank you for everything. You been so nice to me and I don't know how I could ever pay you back." I said.

"No need to thank me." He says.

"Whatever keeps your bubble alive." I chuckle.

He smiles. "Well, the doctor says your can go home. C'mon, I'll take you home." He says. I nod, but before I get up from the bed, I realize what I'm wearing.

"I can't go out like this." I said, motioning my hand to the ugly hospital gown.

"Oh. Right. Here." Ryder says handing me my clothes all neatly folded. I smile and he smiles back before leaving the room for me to change.

As I take off the hospital gown, I almost gasp as I see countless of bruises all over my body. My legs wobbled a little as I put on my pants. I hold in my tears. I sometimes I wished I was never alive. I'm struggling everyday. I'm scared to go school because I know what will happen after I get out. School ruined so many clothes for me.

*sigh*

I finish dressing and leave the room.

"Ready?" Ryder asks as I see him look up from his phone.

"Yeah." I said.

We leave the hospital and get in Ryder's car. The drive to my house was silent. Not an awkward silence, but a comfortable silence. Ryder stops the car.

"Thank you. Again." I said.

He shakes his head with a smile. "It's fine. Stop thanking me." He says. He outstretches his arm to the back seat and hands me my maroon backpack. I smile at him before getting out the car. Ryder drives away as I go inside.

I'm greeted by Gucci and I play with her for a couple of minutes. I go to the bathroom and wash my hands before getting my razor out. I stare at the razor of a couple of long minutes before looking at myself in the mirror.

A little cut won't hurt.

I take a deep breath before putting the razor against my skin. This was my first time and so far I felt the pain go out. I silently whimper in pain as I see the blood drip down the sink. I feel my cheeks get stained with tears as I cry from the pain.

I stop and clean the cut before getting ready to go to sleep...Acting like nothing ever happened.
