TWELVE

I have slept for only 4 hours. I stayed at Derek's loft. He was the only one I trusted. I look at him. "Derek," I whisper. He turns around and looks at me. "What happened during that month?"

"Nothing important," he answered.

"It's important to me," I reply.

"Well when I got back. I heard about the nightmares and hallucinations. We got pretty close on all the topics. That's when last week I finally had the nerve to kiss you," he says. I look at him. Wow way to go Void. Still mad at you but still.

I go stand up beside him. "What happened next?" I ask.

"We didn't just kiss Alex. That is the thing," he says.

"Did we actually sleep together? Like last night?"

"That was you? Not the Nogitsune?" he asks.

"It was me. That would make sense on what he meant by fun," I answer. I grab his hand. "Derek I am actually not one to be interested in that because I never did that."

He looks at me confused. "Wait so you were a?" He asks.

"Yes."

"And I was your..."

"Yeah."

I look at him for a second. "I'm going back to bed," I say.

"I'll take the floor," he says.

"Don't be dumb," I say. I grab his hand and make him lay down.

I lay on my right side. "Derek that was really me," I say. He lays down. "I've liked you for a while. I knew that. Void did things that were natural so I can blend in."

I sit up and look at him. "Alex I believe you. I'm mad that I couldn't recognize this sooner," he says.

"He was in my head. I didn't even know myself. You were the one who brought me back," I say.

Derek gets up and heads downstairs. I start to follow him. He's seriously making coffee. "Neither of us is going to sleep. I know you like coffee," he says.

"I do like coffee," I say. "We do need some sleep though." I literally have to drag him upstairs. When we lay down I smile.

I can't sleep anyways. He notices this. "I will stah up with you," he says.

"Go to sleep Derek," I reply. He starts to shut his eyes. I lay at the wall staring at the ceiling.

I grab the arrow. I let go. There stands coach. I disappear before anyone can see me.

Once I come around the corner. Scott looks at me. I look at him. Aiden and Ethan.

"Hey Allison you missed my call. I know I've been missing school. We need to talk. Can you come over to my apartment at 8?" I say.

I hang up and wait around till eight. Ethan and Aiden are out protecting Scott. Allison and I have some important things to talk about.

When she gets here. I invite her inside. Chris won't have a problem with this. We live in the same building. I can also protect her. She stares at me.

"How did you do it? I mean the hallucinations and everything. How did you make them stop?" I ask.

"I don't know," she answers.

"Ohh," I say. "Um have I missed much in French?"

"Yes. I can bring you work tomorrow," she offers.

"Thank you very much," I say.

She smiles. "Sorry I've been kind of lonely. The only people I see nowadays are Aiden, Ethan and Scott."
