Rockypaw sat at the foot of the mountain- MountainClan's camp. Cats bustled around him, giving orders, training, talking, meeting with apprentices, playing, everything a cat could do, was done in the camp. Patrols headed out apprentices trained, and after a little bit, Rockypaw's mentor came over to him.

"Rockypaw," he mewed, sitting down close to Rockypaw. "Today is your evaluation."

"I know," Rockypaw replied. If he passed his evaluation, he would be a warrior. If he failed, he had to go to the Kit Camp for six moons, then redo his whole apprenticeship. But Rockypaw knew the tunnels and how to fight and how to hunt good, so he wasn't worrying.

"Are you nervous?" His mentor asked, licking his ear. Rockypaw shuffled his paws on the cold rocks. He was used to the cool feel of the rocks, he felt it comforting, more comforting than he heat of his nest.

"No," he replied to his mentor, "there really isn't a reason, Opalflight."

Opalflight smiled, the mewed, "that's good thinking, Rockypaw. Don't be nervous for anything. Ever."

"That's good advice," Rockypaw meowed. A yowl errupted from the highledge and Boulderstar looked at Rockypaw and nooded. Boulderstar jumped down and padded towards the Underground entrance.

Rockypaw and Opalflight padded behind Boulderstar, but at that moment, Rockypaw's heart started pounding and his legs felt weak. He found it hard to keep walking, but he managed to drag his bag of heavy bones toward the Underground.

When they reached the entrance, Boulderstar sat there and smiled at them. "Hello, Opalflight." He mewed, looking at Opalflight. Then he turned his head to Rockypaw. "Hello, Rockypaw." Boulderstar mewed whilst wrapping his tail around his paws.

"Hello, our glorious leader," Opalflight mewed, bowing his head to Boulderstar. Rockypaw did the same, just for show. But somewhere, deep down in his heart, he had no respect for his leader.

"Rockypaw," Boulderstar mewed. "You have until sunset to enter through this entrance, and exit through that entrance at the other end of the camp. End after or come out at the wrong entrance, you fail. And you know what happens when you fail.

Rockypaw nodded, his head trembling. Then he padded off into the tunnel.

When he emerged, the sun was setting and the heat had bursted the stone isn't cool anymore, it's hot from the heat of the sun. Boulderstar sat at the exit, smiling from ear to ear. "Congratulations, Rockypaw. Your ceremony begins now."

Boulderstar pads off and jumps on the Highledge.  Cats see him and they gather below, but Boulderstar still does the call.

"All cats old enough to hunt, gather beneath the highledge for a clan meeting!" His yowl ringed around the camp, echoing against the rock. Cats gathered around and on the mountain, all looking up at Boulderstar.

"Today, we welcome in a new warrior! Rockypaw, please step forward." Boulderstar yowled to the clan. Rockypaw stepped forward, in front of the clan. "Rockypaw, do you vow to server MountainClan and worship StarClan even at the cost of your life?"

"I do," he mewed loudly and clearly.

"Then from now-" Boulderstar was interrupted by a loud yowl. The stench of rogues filled the air, but it was different this time. It wasn't normal.

The Flare Cats. Or are the called The Flares? Rockypaw thought, not knowing what was going on.

Then it happened.

A group of about 27 cats walked into camp.
