Neji x Tenten: Lee's Rescue Mission

  Neji and Tenten got sent out on a mission, but Lee couldn't go since he was injured training. They thought they had defeated the target,  but they were very wrong. Even Neji's Byakugan couldn't see him put him into a trap, fully made of steel. It was pitch black and they couldn't see a thing.

"Neji, what are we gonna do?"

"I'm not sure."

"Can't you do anything? You're the strongest ninja in our rank!"

"Tenten, save your energy. I'd hate for you to die in a steel box." Neji's words hit Tenten like a ton of bricks. Was she really going to die in a steel box in the middle of nowhere?

"Neji?"

"Hm?"

"Do you really think were gonna die in this box?"

"If no one comes after us, yes."

"Neji.. I love yo-" Tenten was interrupted by Neji's cold lips pressed against hers. A light pink blush crossed both of their faces. Once they parted, sunlight seeped through the steel box.

"I have been sent to rescue my comrades!" Lee entered the hole in the box, holding a bloody shuriken.

"Lee did you kill that man?" Tenten's voice cracked.

"Unfortunately, yes. It is my job as a shinobi to do as I must to complete my mission!"

Tenten and Neji laughed at their energetic friend. Neji grabbed Tenten's hand and put one foot out of the box and turned around to her.

"Come on, Tenten, or you'll die out here." Neji smiled, Tenten laughed and followed her team mates back to Konoha.
