What did I just do?

Part 1

Disclaimer: I do not own Percy Jackson or any of the characters but I do own the story line. If you like lots of percabeth drama you might just want to read this but if you don't I suggest you find another story to read.

Percy pov

Today Annabeth and I were going on a date in the city. We were just walking through Central Park when we both decided to sit down on one of the benches. I was planing on telling her my plans about us. I was going to ask her to move in with me in new Rome. I have the apartment picked out, though I didn't buy it yet.
"Hey Annabeth?" I asked.
"Yeah." She replied.
"Will you move in with me in new Rome?" I figured she'd be happy but instead she looked kinda mad.
"Are you serious?"
"Yeah, why wouldn't I be?"
"I can't." My heart dropped. Does she not love me back?
"Huh?"
"I said I can't, Percy, get that into your tiny brain." That hurt.
"What's wearing with you? You're usually so nice to me."
"I can't believe you. You don't understand do you?"
"No?"
"Ugh." She walked away. She flipping walked away from me. I tried to go after her but she got in a cab and left me in the middle of Central Park, confused and alone. My heart hurt. I felt like it had been ripped into millions of pieces that placed back in my body so I had to live with the pain. Wait. Back up a second. Are we still dating or was that it? I just want to talk to her. I'm so confused so I did the most logical thing, I called Piper.
"Hey, Pipes."
"Hey Perce. Are you crying you sound like you are?" It was then I noticed that I was indeed crying.
"I don't know anymore."
"I thought you were with Annabeth? Why are you calling me?"
"I was with Annabeth."
"What happened?"
"She left."
"Why?"
"I don't know."
"What led up to her leaving?"
"I asked her to move in with me."
"And...?"
"I don't know she got all angry then left."
"Are you guys ok?"
"I don't know."
"Percy come back to camp."
"Ok." I drove back to camp. I was scared that I would have to face Annabeth after she basically walked out on me, but I don't know where she went and if she's at camp she's probably in her cabin. As soon as I crossed the border I texted Piper to meet me in my cabin. As I was passing the Athena cabin on the way to mine I was pushed up against a wall so I couldn't move. I looked at my attacker. It was Malcom. Malcom and I had become good friends since Annabeth and I got together, so I'm even more confused that I was when I got here.
"What the hades did you do to my sister!?"
"What do you mean?"
"She came into our cabin like really angry after she was with you!"
"You should be asking what she did to me. She left I didn't do anything."
"She wouldn't leave."
"She did. Now can I go back to my cabin?"
"You can go, but this isn't over." He walked back into the Athena cabin as I continued on my way to the Poseidon cabin. When I got there Piper was already there. As soon as I was in my cabin I broke down crying. Piper comforted me until I stopped. Then said.
"Alright, now tell me exactly what happened."
"It was all going great, then I asked her if she wanted to move in with me and she got really angry at me and started yelling. Then she left."
"How are you feeling?" She was genuinely concerned.
"Like my whole life just shattered in front of my eyes and I can't do anything about it."
"Oh gods this is worse than I thought." She mumbled under her breath but I heard her anyway. Her comments only made me start crying again.
"Ok Percy I'm going to need you to think very carefully."
"Ok."
"Do you think anything you said could have set her off?"
"No."
"Can you repeat to me exactly what you said to her?"
"Yea, sure."
"Ok."
"I said, will you move in with me in new Rome."
"Do you think new Rome could have set her off?"
"It shouldn't have. I don't know."
"I'll be right back."
"Ok."

Annabeth pov

I can't believe him. He asked me to move into new Rome. New Rome of all places. Ugh, he's so stupid. After I left I went back to my cabin. I was really angry with him. Ugh, I can't even say his name I'm so mad. I'm never speaking to him again. Malcom walked in and asked me why I was so angry. I told him to go ask Percy, so he left, probably to go find that stupid son of Poseidon. I heard a bang on the side of my cabin. It was towards the window so I looked out and eavesdropped. Turns out it was Malcom and him.
"What the hades did you do to my sister!?" Malcom asked.
"What do you mean?"
"She came into our cabin like really angry after she was with you!"
"You should be asking what she did to me. She left I didn't do anything."
"She wouldn't leave."
"She did. Now can I go back to my cabin?"
"You can go, but this isn't over." Malcom walked back into the cabin like a minute later.
"Will someone please tell me what's going on?"
"I refuse to talk about him or to him so I'm your not getting anything out of me."
"Annabeth, he's crying and you're angry what happened?"
"Nothing and that's final." Ten minutes later there was a knock on the Athena cabin door. I had Malcom go get it just in case it was him. Turns out it was Piper. She looked conflicted.
"Hey Malcom?"
"Yea?"
"Can you leave us alone for a minute?"
"Yea, sure."
"So what's up?" I asked.
"I don't know you tell me."
"Someone's snippy today."
"Well yeah, what did you expect? Percy's crying himself to sleep right now and you're angry for no reason. And I'm stressed because I don't like seeing him like this. And I don't like seeing you like this either."
"You don't need to worry about it Piper. Percy and I are done and there's nothing anyone can do about that."
"Are you sure because he doesn't care where you guys move he just wants to be with you." Well that's kind of sweet.
"Maybe I should go talk to him?"
"Yeah, you probably should."
"Why?"
"Because I was talking to him right before I came here, his words broke my heart."
"What did he say?"
"He said, the second you left he felt like his whole life had shattered in front of him and there was noting he could do to stop it. It's heart breaking for me. I can't see him like this, it's painful as one of his best friends."
"I'll go talk to him."
"Ok. I'll see you later then?"
"Yeah." After that I left. I walked straight to the Poseidon cabin. I knocked twice then walked in. Like I usually would. What I saw when I walked in the door broke my heart. Percy was in the fetal position on his bed with riptide to his wrist, blood dripping down his hands. His eyes were bloodshot and he was still crying. Did I do this to him?
"Hey, Percy." He looked up at me, and started crying harder.
"Get out."
"What?"
"Get out."
"Percy I want to help you."
"If you wanted to help me you wouldn't have done this to me."
"I'm serious Perce I want to help you."
"And I'm serious to Annabeth, I said get out and I mean it this time, I've never meant something as strongly as I mean this right now." He said it with such emotion I couldn't help but trust that he was telling the truth. He really didn't want me here to help him.
"All these years I've let you push me to the limit of breaking, and for what, for you to just walk away from me like you do to all of your problems. That's all I am to you. I'm just another one of your problems  that you think you need to fix. Well guess what Annabeth. You can't fix everything by walking in and apologizing."
"You were never a problem to me."
"Then what was I? We all know you never cared. Or you wouldn't have walked away. That was the final test Annabeth. I'm done being your puppet that you can throw around. I'm done with you." At that I walked out the door. I closed it and slide down it. And for the first time in public, I broke down, yes I Annabeth Chase broke down I'm plain sight of everybody walking by. I couldn't help it what Percy said had hit home. I never knew he felt that way, and if only he had told me, we could have fixed it before it escalated to far. I decided to tough it up and go back in. This time as I walked in Percy was cutting off all of his hair.
"Percy! Oh my gods what are you doing?"
"I'm getting rid of everything that connects to you." He spit.
"You're cutting your hair."
"Yes, the same hair that you ran your filthy hands through endlessly. Everything that has some sort of connection to you needs to go. Even if that means cutting ties with friends and family."
"The Percy I know wouldn't do that to himself."
"The Percy you know is the Percy you controlled, you had me wrapped around your fingertips and you know it. Luckily I figured it out before I proposed. Instead of marrying someone that I don't love, or even like for that matter."
"Percy, you don't mean that."
"Yes, I do Annabeth and if you weren't to oblivious to notice, we're over. Never speak to me again. I'm going to mortal high school. For the purpose of not being near you durring the school year. I hate you Annabeth Chase." I could feel the hot wet tears dripping down my cheeks and chin. I could see his tears and I could see all the blood in his body draining into his face as he jus got angrier and angrier. I ran out of the cabin. I ran all the way back to the Athena cabin and didn't stop until I was laying on my bed soaking my pillow with tears. Did he really mean everything he said?

Percy pov

What did I just do?

I think I'm just gonna end this chapter right there.
