1 drag. 2 drags. 3 drags. 1 pill. 2 pills. 3 pills. Nothing. I feel nothing. "WHY CAN'T I FEEL ANYTHING!?" Luke smacked a beer bottle off his bedside table. It shattered against his dark wall. His pulled a flattened pack of cigarettes out of his back pocket. 1 left. He smoked as he grabbed his keys and walked out to the car. As he drove, one hand held his cigarette and one steered the wheel. He drove down the empty, black road up to a 24/7 gas station. He flicked the last ashes and threw it on the ground and stepped on it. "Hey Luke." Said the old women with a southern accent, bleached thin hair, tattooed pink lip liner and blue eyes. "Hey Judy." Luke said back. "The usual?" She said as she looked at Luke with a lifted eyebrow. "Well, it is 2 am." He said handing her a five. He took the black pack lined with hot pink with a camel in the middle. "Luke, those are stronger than a bear on steroids." She said looking worried. "I don't know how you keep smokin em'." She said as he had already lit one. "Well, you don't worry about me, Judy. Have a nice night." The door shut. "You too, Luke, you too."
