Chapter 2

I watched her drive off and flipped her off while laughing. I laughed harder when i saw her do the same back. She's a laugh isn't she? Anyways, as i continued laughing and turned to see my parents standing in the doorway looking at me watching what i do. Did i mention that my parents were weird. Ugh, like typical parents they hate everything, and little things about the generation z. They hate our taste in music, clothing, shoes, our mind sets and so much more. It's annoying when they hover over me like a security guard on a daily basis, but it shows that they love me i guess.

"jj we got to talk to you" they said in unison

* I walked up to them looking at them in the eyes*

"we know that your becoming of the age, but we have to tell you something" they said worried and started looking around

"hunny she's just 17" my father said calmly

" i know that , i just wanted to sound mysterious" she said trying to lift the mood, but something wasn't right

" well anyways dear, you are a vampire and your gonna get....." my mother said

"wait a vampire" i cut my mother off "i couldn't be a vampire you guys are telling me another story" i said with a slight chuckle

"were not lying love, you are a vampire and your going to meet your mate soon" father said

"An get your mark too" my mom butted in

"MATE. Why the do i need a mate? I don't like meeting new people, i don't even like people touching me. You guys know i don't get along with people." i said getting upset

"jj you look like your dad alot" my mother said

" no i don't" i said

"you have my eyes baby girl" she added

"okay but you guys are dark skin, and i'm just getting lighter every day" i added 

" JJ seriously, you do look like the both of us but you are a vampire and you need to get your flashes so hold still so we can show you" she said looking at me with bright glowing eyes and my father did the same. As they both touch my shoulders, i blinked and i was in another universe. It was like my life flashed before my eyes and i couldn't take it.

"get away from me mom Don't touch me" i said coming back from my empty thoughts

"you can't run away jj you have to find your mate and make a tribe" my dad said squeezing my arm

"no get off of me, don't touch me like that again" i said pulling away from him. He scratched me and looked at me with sorrow but madness still in his eyes. As i was holding my arm, i backed away in disgust thinking wow you really hurt me. Out of all things you get defensive and hurt me? It made me angry. I walked away into the dark making sure they don't see me. I climbed up a tree and sat at the very top looking into the night sky.

It was calming, nice and full of options that i haven't seen in awhile. Yes i was upset, but the night sky calmed me down. I waited for my parents to go inside before i stood up and watched the stars some more. Something caught my eye. As i looked into the he distance, i saw this really cute girl she has long hair brunette but with a lot of colors too. She looked really tall 5'8, 5'9 and but you could see that she was a fake human like me. She was mixed and had the body of a goddess. Hourglass figure, and had a strong demeanor. I tilled my head as she turned around and i thought "geez she's beautiful"

"are you okay? " my mom said concerned

"no leave me alone" i said getting out of my trance and leaving my head blank

" honey i'm sorry" my father said before our communication tuned out

"whatever" i replied

I dropped down and walked deeper into the woods, put my hands on the back of my head and entered a clearing. I fell on my back and watched the stars circle around, wondered to myself why do i have to be so inhuman? why do i have to be the different kid in my school? why can't i be left alone. My mind was blank and i felt so free in those woods, i don't mind the animals walking around me cause i can hear their footsteps and feel what kind of animal it was. I loved the woods, i loved how open i could be without having someone listening to me, talk to me or hear me cry. Yes it was lonely, but being alone is what i was good at.

After seeing that it struck midnight, i got up said my goodbyes to the magical forest and the animals that came with it and walked back into civilization. I hated going back, why can't i be a forest animal and not have to worry about anything. But sadly i missed my bed. I walked back to my house, walked up the stairs locked my door and got ready for bed.

"hey" a voice in my head came through

"who is that" i said annoyed from today

" dickhead it's maddy" she said

" oh, wassup" i cleared my voice

"nothing i just felt how sad you were so wassup with you" she said concerned

"just parent bullshit" i explained

"did you want to come over tomorrow" she questioned me

" i would love too" i said relieved

"good because i'm going to make you happy, now get sleep and go to bed" she said sternly

i laughed and said " alright mom goodnight love you too" i said laughing

" stop i'm not your mother" she laughed and turned out the communication

*next day*

I walked down the stairs yawning meeting my parents in the kitchen. I put my head down and walked between them got my toast and walked back upstairs to hide under the blankets.

"honey" my mom knocked on my door and said

" yes" i said still under the covers

" i'm sorry about last night, your father was just trying to..." i cut her off

" i don't care" i said loudly so she can hear

"honey i'm sorry okay, please when you come home from school can we talk?" she said

i didn't reply, and i sadly got ready for school and headed off

while at school, i met up with maddy and we made our way to our classes. We had science and biology together then we went our separate ways and i had history and she had her study sessions. As usual i got paper balls throw at my head and lots of stares from across the room. I was an easy target for everyone, but it didn't matter at least i'm not taking classes over like the rest of the people sitting around me.

As the bell ring i headed out early and made my way to the lunch room for our break. I met up maddy looking at her sadly and said

" can you rip the paper off my back please"

"who put this on you" she said

"i don't know and i don't care i just want it off" i said getting sad

"JJ don't be sad about the ignorance that runs in this school" she said reassuring me

i sighed and watched the paper balls fly around me with the following of snickering after it. I held my head down and walked out the cafeteria to go to my usual stop near the garbage can, when i bumped into someone and spilled my lunch on myself.

"oh i'm so sorry, i'll clean it up" i said still looking at the ground

" it's alright, you didn't spill anything on me" she reassured me

"im new to these parts can you help me find my last couple of classes" the girl said

"ohh yea no problem" i said cleaning up and finally looking up at her

"btw hi i'm JJ..." i said before i was blown away by her

" h-h-h-hi" i repeated not knowing what to say, i looked at maddy who looked the same way as i did and i ran away embarrassed by how red my cheeks got
