'what?' michael quickly walked toward luke, who was starting to take the baby out of the carrier. michael stopped him.

'dont take it out, luke' luke frowned, retracting his hands from under under the infants armpits.

'michael, its a girl!' luke said, a bit too excited for michaels liking. he knelt down next to his fiance and glanced at the baby.

she had bright blue eyes, easily resembling lukes, but she had darker hair. her skin was very fair, which michael could relate to. he found himself smiling fondly at her, but stopped quickly and stood back up.

'ill call child services' he stated, walking back into the house. luke gasped and took the carrier inside, shutting the door behind him.

'michael, no' michael stopped and turned. luke seldom called him by his full name; he usually used nicknames.

'she-she'll have no future, mikey' luke was tearing up, and he placed the carrier on the ground as to not drop it in his emotional state. michael frowned.

'no one will let us keep her, we need to report her' michael started dialing the number, but when luke started sobbing he quickly put the phone down.

'baby...' luke had grabbed the child out, holding her in his arms. his tears were falling on the little pink dress she was wearing, soaking into the fabrics.

'no, i wont let anyone take her' michael pouted, looking at how broken luke looked at the thought of her fate.

'ok, alright, um, i dont know what to say luke. its late. im going to go to bed. ill, um, alright goodnight' michael walked upstairs, leaving luke to cry with the baby, who was starting to get fussy.

'youre too young to eat regular food, but i dont have baby food' luke sighed and stood up, wiping his eyes with his free hand while holding the girl on his hip with the other.

he found applesauce and figured that was going to have to do. he put a little bit in a bowl and put it in front of the baby.

she started up at him with a grin on her face, clearly waiting for him to feed her. luke picked the spoon up with the tiniest bit of food on it. she ate it and giggled, trying to grab at lukes face. he smiled and put his large hand around her little fist.

'i wish i knew your name..' luke frowned, looking over the girls features. she made one of those generic baby noises and spit up a little. luke grimaced, his nose scrunching up.

'mike-! oh. um, okay lets see' luke ran to grab a towel from the bathroom. he heard the baby start crying again, so he quickly went back into the kitchen. he saw she had spit up a bit more and he sighed, walking over and wiping it up with the towel.

the baby held her arms up for luke to pick her up. he didn't really want to, she didn't have a change of clothes and now she was covered in spit-up. he decided to wrap her in a blanket and carry her upstairs where he slept.

michael had fallen asleep already so luke didnt want the baby to wake him in the middle of the night. he walked further down the hall to a spare room that was mainly used as an office and storage space. he took a blanket and sat on the floor, the baby laying on top of him.

'goodnight, little one. dont worry, michael will learn to love you' the baby gurgled before laying down on lukes chest, her hand on his shoulder as she fell asleep.
