Saving Henry [Henry Danger fanfiction]

Chapter 1: Ivy

Henry and Ray were lounging around in the Man Cave, not really doing much. Just then, Henry sat up straighter, seeming to have remembered something important. "Hey, Ray, d'you remember about the comic-con that we promised that we'd go to?" he asked.

"Wait - we promised that we'd go to a comic-con? When?" Ray inquired, having completely forgotten about that.

"Dude! Last week, that guy who's in charge of it told us! And it's about superheroes with us as the main people, so we kinda have to go," Henry sighed and rolled his eyes at the grown man.

"Oh yeah! I forgot about that. When is it?" Ray questioned, already getting his gum ball tube out, in case it was about to start in the next ten minutes or so. He wasn't far off.

"In-" Henry checked his watch. "Two hours, we have enough time to get into uniform and get there. And about an hour to chill, okay?"

"In uniform?" Ray asked.

"Yeah, why?" Henry shot back, wondering why Ray would ask that question even though he had literally just told him that they were going in uniform.

"Because that way we'll probably get free stuff. And I love free stuff!" Ray said, grinning like an idiot.

"Okay... Well, we've got to get into uniform then go to the place, got it?" Henry said.

"Yeah, got it. Though, shouldn't we start now? We'll have to follow your directions and they aren't the best..." Ray snorted.

"You don't even know where the place is!" Henry glared at him. "But yeah, we should go. Because I can't drive and you don't know where the place is, so it'll take about two hours to walk there. Let's go!"

Ray nodded and followed Henry out of the Man Cave.

Once they got there, the superhero and his sidekick were immediately mobbed by fans. "Hey! Hey, hey, calm down, alright? Kid Danger and I are going to get some food,then we'll sign your autographs and whatever else," Ray said, making his way through the crowd to the food stand, Henry following him.

After a couple of hours of signing autographs, getting free stuff and other torturous things (in Ray's opinion), the duo were finally left alone. "Well, I think that this has been a pretty good day so far, huh, Captain Man?" Henry remarked.

"You're right, Kid Danger, you're right," Ray replied back.

Just then, a teenage girl came up to them, looking nervous. Henry felt sorry for her (after all, who wouldn't be nervous when approaching superheroes?) and said in a kind tone, "Are you alright? Do you need any help with anything?"

The girl shook her head and said, "Umm..hi, Captain Man, Kid Danger. My name's Ivy and I would really appreciate it if you came to my Sweet Sixteen birthday party this weekend! Please?"

Henry and Ray exchanged looks. They didn't know if they could trust this 'Ivy' or not. Though, she was a civilian, so she should be okay. They guessed.

"Of course!" Henry smiled brightly at her. "When should we be there?"

"Oh, anytime between four and five. Thanks!" Ivy skipped away happily.
