Darkness. Pitch black all over. His pupils wandered around hoping to catch a glimpse of light, but nothing. He then heard sounds, a little far but still recognizable. They were of a group of people it seemed, standing near him and talking.

Opening his eyes was what he tried first. Heavy, his eyelids felt as if they weighted twenty times their natural weight. Nonetheless, he remained struggling to open them until they slightly parted and allowed dim light to come into view.

"Oh look he finally woke up!"

Someone standing next to his head said in excitement, but he couldn't make out whom it was.

"Thank god!"

Another sound was heard from his left, of a woman. His hooded eyes traveled around the area still a bit foggy, when it landed on a face, not very familiar but attractive. The boy's eyes were glued to it for several seconds.

He noticed a man put his hand on her shoulder and whisper into her ear. After that, she crooked a smile and stepped closer letting him take a better look of her mesmerizing face.

"Hi."

His mouth opened and closed a few times before the woman to his left understood and brought a glass of water with a straw to his lips.

The boy eyed her before looking back at the glass and sipping from it greedily. Clearing his throat, he once again attempted to use his hoarse voice.

"W.. Where am I?" He asked no one in particular as his gaze lazily moved around the group of anticipating faces.

"You're in a hospital dear. You've been through a car accident," the woman answered while she circled the glass of water with her slim fingers.

An accident? He did feel pain all over his body, especially his right leg. Averting his gaze to his laid leg, his eyes widened at seeing it covered with a white cast up to the knee.

Immediately, he looked away agitated by the scene. His heartbeat came to a sudden rise as sweat formed on his temples.

"It's okay, you're fine. The doctor said you'd only have it on for a few weeks." She patted his shoulder softly.

As he looked up at her face inches away from his own, his lips parted when he noted her features thoroughly.

"Mom?"

The woman nodded with a smile.

His mother then moved away and pointed with her eyes at the three people standing to his right. "They're here to see you too."

Eyes were rested once more at the attractive face of the girl, who approached first.

"Hey, remember me?"

Her soft voice rang a bell and he couldn't deny the familiarity he felt. As if she wasn't already close, the girl leaned further until her half exposed breasts were distracting him from looking at her face.

"Come on Chanie, don't break my heart and say you don't remember me."

Chanyeol swallowed before he spelled her name slowly. "E-U- N- H- A."

The girl immediately grinned and caressed his hand, still remaining close. "There we go."

Though he remembered her name, he still couldn't make out what she was to him. A sister? No, a sister wouldn't lean this close almost suffocating him with her breasts, then a girlfriend? Probably.

"What about me?" A manly voice asked, interrupting his internal assumptions.

He turned his head slightly upward to face the speaker. A smile oddly crept along his lips as he exchanged gazes with the handsome male.

"Taemin."

Taemin smiled back and softly pinched his cheek. "Good to have you back little brother."

It was all smiles until he met the eyes of the last visitor, who seemed unsure of himself as he looked around the place in disruption.

"This is your friend. He was with you in the accident but he fortunately didn't get as injured as you." His mother explained as if she read his mind.

After moments of silence, the friend cleared his throat before starting. "Hi Chanyeol, can you remember my name?"

Chanyeol ran his eyes up and down the boy's average height body while appearing deep in thought. "You were with me in the car?"

"Y.. Yes."

For some reason, he didn't need a minute to think over the identity of the boy. Actually, he remembered who he was just by hearing his soft 'yes'. How could he not when he has seen his face almost more than his own mother's?

They were close, so Chanyeol didn't have trouble replying this time. "Baekhyun."

The remaining visitors eyed the boy with unreadable faces; Baekhyun forced a smile at his friend to distract him from noticing the strange change of atmosphere.

"It was probably you who was driving." He accused jokingly.

The boy shook his head. "No, not this time."

"It must've been something to do with the car. You've never been in such a horrific accident before." His mother remarked with knotted brows.

The car, the car they were in. He couldn't remember what company it was, where they were driving to, or when it even all happened.

His head started to ache as unanswered questions piled up. Why couldn't he remember anything about the accident? Why did he have trouble telling who the people around him were even though they were his own family?

"Honey, are you alright?" His mother sat at the edge of the comfy hospital bed and held his hand.

Chanyeol squinted his eyes after shutting them for a second. "I don't know. My head really hurts and I.. I can't remember some things."

All four exchanged brief looks before looking back down at the patient. "Chanyeol." His brother began.

The boy in pain looked at him awaiting him to continue.

"In the accident you've suffered a severe head injury and been in the ICU for a whole week."

Chanyeol then shifted his attention to his mother when she added, "I was so worried, I spent many sleepless nights."

He didn't like the way she said it. Not knowing whether it was due to the monotone she spoke in or her dull eyes.

"Anyways, they removed you from the ICU after you started getting better, which was about three days ago. And before we could see you when you woke up this morning, the doctor spoke to us." Taemin was scratching the nape of his neck when he added.

"He said you may suffer memory loss, for a period of time."
