The girl's bare feet hung slightly over the edge. Her hands were sweaty and shaking as she looked down at the busy street below. She hadn't been doing well lately and was about to jump from her apartment building. Her dad owned the building and had the keys to get to the roof. Tears filled her eyes as she moved her feet off the edge a bit more so they were nearly halfway off. Her brown hair was infront of the crying girl's face. She was still contemplating on weather or not to go through with what she was about to do. She started thinking about the last thing each person she knew said to her. Then she got to her boyfriend Laurence.
No matter what, I'll be there for you, I can be as mad as I could ever be and at the end of the day I'll still love you. Have a safe trip babygirl. I'll be waiting when you get back.
Little did she know that he was flying in to surprise her. She heard the door to the roof open and looked behind her. Her boyfriend was standing there, eyes filled with concern and worry. Her usually bright blue eyes were a dull blue now. He rushed over to her and gently grabbed her arm. "Don't baby, please." He said, starting to cry. He had just arrived at the apartment complex when he saw his girlfriend on the roof although she couldn't see him. He rushed up and found her in this frail state. She began to sob and he brought her away from the edge, capturing her in a comforting hug and let her sob into his shoulder while he stroked her hair and whispered into her ear
