Nick had walked into school that morning with no expression on his face. His mom is very ill and might die soon. His little sister didn't understand any of it. He kind of just hated everything.Yet, lucky for him, his friends set up a blind date for him on Saturday.
Kenzie, on the other hand, was having a fantastic day. She passed all her classes with flying colors and having lots of fun at home. Yet her friends felt she didn't get out enough so with Nick's friends she was sent on a date with him.
Saturday rolled around pretty quickly. Nick had gone to "The Shoppe" which was a quite famous coffee place in Oakwood, California. He sat down and waited for Kenzie whom he did not know was going to be there hence the term blind date.
Kenzie walked in and sat next to Nick. They knew each other, but not very well.
"Hi." Kenzie said smiling
"Hey." Nick said sipping his coffee
Now after that you may think that this whole date would be awkward but you'd be wrong. Once they actually got to talking they got along really well. Nick took Kenzie out to dinner and gave her a rose. Nick asked Kenzie to be his girlfriend and she said yes. You may think I'm rushing this, but this is just barely the beginning.
