{Chapter 4} More Than A Feeling

A/N: Okies so here it finally is and longer like I promised. Also the little girls name is pronounced Es-tee I found different pronounciations for it but that seemed to be the most common.

Chapter 4: More than a feeling

I woke up and the sun was shining and there was still warmth beside me i sat up and looked over at josh and smiled slightly he was really quite handsome and he had been so nice to me even though he was friends with the enemy. He stirred in his sleep as the suns rays fell on his face illuminating it making stand out and look almost angelic. I mentally slapped myself... 'get ahold of yourself cassie he is the enemy you cant or shouldn't fall for the ememy ' i laid back down facing away from him and scooting as far away as possible without falling out of the bed.

Unfortunately it didn't last long because his arm reached out and wrapped around my waist and i could feel the body heat through both our clothing as he pressed his body against mine. I faked sleep to see if he had woken up and it didn't seem so and i was stuck. I looked at the alarm clock on the bed side table and it read 5pm my parents and siblings should be home by now so why have there been no interruptions thus far.

Oh well im not gonna look a gift horse in the mouth at least not for now. I sighed and gave in to the heat of his body letting it wash over me and was almost back to sleep when i felt josh stir behind me, he sat up and i did the same " hey" he said looking at me smiling " uh... hi" i said wondering why he was smiling like that. He kept staring at me smiling like a freak and i felt slightly self-conscious and i tried to ignore it " so umm... the storm is over ..." i said quietly picking tala up and cradling the small puppy. He still kept staring not replying to the comment " what is there some joke im not in on here?" i asked moving away from him farther a hurt look crossing my face and settling in my eyes as i hid the hurt with a glare.

He turned away stuttering " i...uh ... no...." he said looking anywhere but at me. I rolled my eyes and shifted slightly to get comfortable. " seriously what the fuck is your problem? " I asked angrily my hand balling into a tight fist my nails digging into the palm as i got ready to hit him should he start laughing or something.

" its... just... i never realized how ....um.... " he paused thinking his response over critically trying not to piss me off more id imagine , especially after hed seen what i had done to Reven this morning. " beautiful... you are..." he said quietly finally finishing the sentence and calming my fury. I burst out laughing " really thats what your going with.... not what i was expecting at all.... " i said between bouts of laughter " really what the fuck ? is this a sick joke? ... i mean i thought you were going to tell me you were gonna spread it through school that you slept with me ... wait you aren't gonna do that are you cuz if you are ill do worse to you than i did to Reven this morning...." i said giving him a warning glare

" no really cassie i meant it ... i think your beautiful " he said in a honest to god tone " i told you earlier that i thought those guys were jerks and i really never liked them... i just hung out with them because of my brother... who is one of the biggest asses around other than reven ... now anyways" he said staring at the wall opposite us.

I couldn't believe what i was hearing i shook my head " your just messing with me right?" i asked geting out of my bed and moving as far from him as possible my back going against my bedroom door. He just kept smiling that goofy smile that i wanted to slap off his face so badly it almost hurt. " josh quit it your really freaking me out " i said wishing one of my siblings would barge in even if it meant me getting thrown to the floor. I just didn't want to be here feeling what i feel praying it would just be a dream.

Josh brushed his bangs out of his eyes and got up out of the bed and started walking towards me slowly as i glared at him shooting daggers at him wishing they could hurt. " Cassie... really you are beautiful and i really like you ... " he said moving faster as he spoke. Before i knew what hit me he was kissing me and i found myself letting him. I found myself kissing him back and enjoying it. He stopped short " sorry..." he said looking away and i smiled breathless " why?" i asked but before he could answer my lips were back on his my arm snaking around his neck and his around my waist.

Just then a knock on the door interrupted us.

I glared at the door a moment " Whos there?" i asked looking into his eyes not wanting to leave the situation we were in. It was funny how fast i fell for him seeing as just days before he was one of my worst enemies but hey who I to judge ill just let my emotions control how things go i guess. I smiled at him and kissed him again lightly on the lips still awaiting an answer from behind the door. "Eszti" a small cute voice rang out " mommy says you need to come downstairs now" she said quietly and i sighed not wanting to deal with my mom " ill be right down sweetie..." i paused trying to find an excuse for a few more minuets with josh but couldn't come up with anything. I kissed him passionately and looked him over for signs of our make out session and smiled at what i had done to his hair " whats so funny " he whispered and i simply smoothed down his hair before motioning him to back up as unwilling as i was to have him go " wait here please?" i asked begging him with my eyes hoping that what i had to go down for would only take a few minutes. He simply nodded and sat on my bed.

I turned to the mirror to view myself and made sure i looked normal enough and i grabbed tala knowing my younger siblings would love to see her. I walked out the door watching him for as long as i could as i closed the door. I sighed as i headed down the stairs smiling happily. I found my mother and siblings in the dinning room seated around the large table needed to hold our large family. " Yes mother what did you need to see me about ?" i asked as i stood in the door way noticing an extra place setting. " we were just wondering if you and your friend were planning on joining us for dinner " she said coolly. I stared at her in shock " how did you know about josh?" i asked curiously and she smiled mischievously " car" was all she said and i sighed mentally smacking myself for forgetting that he had driven me here during the storm.

" right about that ...." i said quietly " you know how i get about storms and such " i said shrugging " well he brought me home and stayed with me so i wouldn't freak so bad" i said quickly then looked at Ray and smiled sheepishly " by the way we got soaked so i loaned him some of your clothes, i hope you don't mind" he smiled " wait is this the josh you hate at school?" he asked "yeah...well funny story..." I said rubbing the back of my neck." But its gotta wait for later .. I should go get him" I said turning and running up the stairs walking into my room smiling at him " hey wanna come down for supper?" I asked pecking him on the cheek. He shrugged " I could eat" I smiled and gave him a quick kiss before taking his hand in mine and dragged him downstairs anxious about him meeting my family despite the fact that he knew some of them already. I stopped outside of the dining room door and looked him over again to make sure he didnt look like a make out disaster. He was good so I slowly pushed open the creaky dining room door.
