Thane Pendleton is the kid everyone knows. To the rest of the world, it seems he has no reason not to be happy: he's a popular high school senior and a praised runner on both the cross-country and track teams. But Thane's life isn't so easy after school hours. Money in the household is tight and his family seems to get more dysfunctional by the day.
Alexander Jonathan Collins is an editor of the school yearbook, but his efforts go largely unnoticed by the other students of Marble Ridge High. When AJ is appointed official photographer of the sports department, he crosses paths with the impossibly fast Thane and finds himself falling for the runner instantly.
After enduring a dreadful setup with a girl just to appease his friends, Thane can't deny that his eye is on someone else. Someone much different. But between Thane's heightening family issues and AJ's anxiety, falling into a picture-perfect romance won't be easy.

Hi, all! This story is one I have been working on for yeeears but I'm finally sitting down and fleshing it all out. Thane and AJ are characters I first created when I was a young teen, and I am excited to finally give them the proper development they deserve. Updates will be sporadic and most likely infrequent, but it all depends on the kind of readership and response I receive (and how inspired/motivated I am to write!). Nonetheless, I hope you stick it out with me and enjoy the story.
