Alexis POV

I woke up with the cold breeze hitting my face calming my nerves and suddenly the support that was once under head disappeared and my head slung down waking me up from my endless sleep. I opened up eyes only to see the most pant dropping sight in front of me instantly waking me up to life. In front was Jason walking towards me, shirtless with water droplets on his hair and skin enhancing his unrealistic abs and killer jawline that made me look at him shamelessly not giving a crap if I look like a creep.

"Take a picture, it will last longer" he said smiling at me sheepishly.

"You wish" I said looking away, knowing for sure I am as red as a tomato.

"Aw you look so adorable when you blush, guess I should be shirtless in front of you more often" he said winking at me.

"Get over yourself you obnoxious loser" I said standing up and walking away.

He ran towards me sweeping me off my feet and carrying me bridal style shouting to me

"Say you love my abs! Say it!"

"Not even in your wildest dreams, let me down!" I shouted back.

"Nope! Say it or I am going to throw you in the water" he said as he took me closer to lake and held me above the water.

"Don't you dare! Jason put me down!" I screamed.

"All you have to say is you love my abs! Just admit it!"

"OK OK FINE! I LOVE YOUR ABS! HAPPY NOW PUT ME DOWN!" I shouted.

"Delighted, just one more thing" with that he gave me a peck on my cheeks and jumped into the water with me in his arms.

The refreshing water actually helped calm my mind but I was furious he threw me in without my permission.

"I am going to kill you!" I said as I swam towards him.

"Catch me if you can" he winked again and began to swam away.

We played in the water for what felt like hours and it feels good to smile, I felt safe with him. He made me smile effortlessly and lifted up my spirits, making my day. Suddenly from behind he scooped me up in the water and held me in his arms staring intensely into my eyes. We just stared at each other not exchanging any words only letting our eyes talk. He drew me closer to him and I allowed him wanting to see what he does next. Slowly he moved closer to me until I realized that he was going to kiss me. OH MY GOD! HE IS GOING TO KISS ME! MY FIRST KISS! AM I READY! Without thinking I quickly burped on his face taking him off this trance, making him look at me with a shocked expression and suddenly burst out laughing. SERIOUSLY! BURP! NOW HE WILL THINK I AM A PIG!

"OH my god! You breath stinks!" he said laughing.

I began laughing with him while we leave behind what was just going to happen.

Elena's POV

As we reached the mansion I was getting more nervous and anxious, because my best friend could either be here or we lost her forever.

"Hey, everything is going to be OK, we will find her" Xavier said pulling me into a protective hug.

"I really hope so, because if I lose her then I don't know what I would do with myself" I said in pain.

As we came in front of the door we suddenly heard a click behind us, we turned around to only be surprised with non other then...

Alexis's POV

"We need to find Xavier fast or Mark will catch up to us and things will go south" I said as we were wandering around in the forest.

"Chill babe, in a way we get to spend more time with each other" he said slyly, giving me a flirtatious wink.

"Oh shut up. I can feel myself getting dumber by each second I spend with you"

"Ya sure, that's not what you were saying when you confessed how much you loved my abs" he said.

"Please, it was a life or death situation. If I didn't that you would have thrown me in the water" I said sticking out my tongue to him like a child.

"I won't ever hurt you, just letting you know." he said quietly.

I let it slip aside but couldn't help feel the sincerity in his words. In all honestly I can't deny how I feel about him. I mean I was going to let him kiss me. Where are you Elena? Please I need you.

As we were walking, I heard a scream, in particular a girl's scream. Without thinking I ran towards the sound, shouting "ELENA!"

Jason was following me telling me to wait for him but I couldn't knowing that my best friend is in danger. As I approached the location of the scream I saw something that scared the living daylights out of me.

There stood Elena in Mark's captivity, while he was holding a gun to her forehead and beside them was Xavier laying on the cold ground covered in bruises and blood. I ran closer to Elena but Mark immediately tightened his arm around her neck furthermore.

"One more step closer and I will blow her brains out! ONE MORE FUCKING STEP ALEXIS! I MEAN IT" he shouted in rage.

"Please, please let her go! Please! I will come to you, please don't hurt them. Please" I begged while my tears were filling at a tremendous rate.

"Babe you should have been more nice before, then I won't have to waste my energy in beating up this pathetic loser" he said bitterly while kicking Xavier, who was groaning in pain.

"You son of a bitch!" shouted Jason as he come forward to punch Mark but I stopped him saying "ARE YOU OUT OF YOU'RE MIND! HE WILL KILL HER! DON'T! Please" I said looking in to his eyes into his hazel brown eyes. I felt a pang of pain for shouting at him like that, but I couldn't risk him putting Elena in more danger.

"Fine, you let them go and I will come with you quietly, no fuss" I said throwing my hands up in defeat.

"Alexis NO! ARE YOU CRAZY! HE IS A PSYCHOPATH!" Elena shouted.

"Shut up, you bitch!" Mark said as he tightened his grip causing Elena to choke.

"Please, please don't hurt her. I said I will come with you, I promise! Please just don't hurt her." I said seeing her choke in pain.

He held out his hand towards me indicating me to come with him. I stepped forward to hold his hand but Jason held my hands causing me to turn back and see his hurt filled eyes.

"Don't" he whispered causing an unknown emotion to fill my body.

"Please, I have to. Let me go" I said not wanting his touch to leave my body. His touch made me feel safe and gave me warmth, I was confused about how I felt around him, but now I knew, at this moment that he needed to let me go.

I went towards him and hugged him causing my heart to feel so stress-free and relieved. I never wanted to let go of him, he tightened his arms around my waist pushing me further towards his chest. These range of emotions that filled my body made me confused and loved at the same time. He breathe fanned across my cheeks causing my body to heat up immediately and a blush approaching on my cheeks. He pecked my cheeks and whispered in to my ears saying "I will find you, and you will be mine."

Only those words ensured me that everything was going to be OK, and suddenly all the fear that had filled up inside me disappeared leaving behind a smile that showed on my face.

As we parted ways I looked back at Elena saying "You owe me a month's worth of Starbucks and cake for this" I said trying to make her feel better.

"I love you bitch" she said wiping her tears, trying to be strong for me.

"I love me too" with one last look at Jason I walked away to wherever Mark had planned to take me, but the smile never left my lips.
