here's the backstory thing 

I wake from unconsciousness...my mind hazy at distant thoughts and memories. I figget with my hands behind me trying to free myself from this restriction. Beads of sweat fall from my forehead out of fear and confusion. I bring my tattered jeans covered legs to my chest, resting my chin on my knees to bring warmth and some sort of safety. I give a deep sigh and watch random pieces of hair rise and fall back onto my dewy face. Closing my eyes I relapse the past events I just lived in. 

I was just shopping with my Mum...I left my mum because some person cannot possibly spent over an hour in a supermarket looking at which type of lettuce will match which salad. So I walked down one of the busy streets of London. I enter Top Shop and immediate feel the knitted scarfs and matching beanies. The intricate details woven into the articles sell me to buy one of each, picking up a mustard coloured scarf and black beanie. I make my way to the counter to pay for the items while the shop assistant greets me. I walk out happy with my purchases but sense there are less people of the streets now. It feels as though the wind has shifted direction. I pick up the pace towards the supermarket to find my Mum when I bump into someone. 

My mum. A sense of relief hits me as I look into her grey eyes. She puts her hands on my shoulders and pulls me close. 

"Mum?"

I try pull back but her grip on me is too tight.

"I'm so sorry, Keria."

She sobs into my shoulder and lets go. I watched her walk away from me before I can even question her. I furrow my brows together and run after her when strong hands pull me back and pull me away.
