dear whoever reads this,

what does beauty even mean?

what does it stand for?

why are we so caught up in beauty?

i'm sure you'll answer with attractiveness or intelligence or resilience.

i believe true beauty stops time: whether it be the view of a scenery so spectacular or the first time you see a natural phenomenon. it's strange how beauty conceives us to believe it's foundations come from it's outer surface, not from the soul beneath it. i am aware that some of beauty does lie within it's external layers but the fact that beauty can make a moment ephemeral is surreal to the mind.

as we are lead to believe that we see beauty, are we ever told that beauty can lie amongst other than its physical attraction? i would speak of media and representation of beauty in the industry, but i believe that is for another extract. beauty can lie in the eyes of happiness or tears of loss or even screams of fear, it's only how you perceive it. i am just trying to say: beauty can mean a lot of things, but if in its simplest form it questions time, you know that you have found true beauty.

true beauty is perceived differently by each soul, one man may find beauty in nature, one may find it in art, it's ability to reach us will always be astounding to me.

when you see true beauty, you'll know. that is why i ask of you to capture all these moments when you feel true beauty in sight.
