Part I

You're reading a book, in the small park near your apartment, when you notice the sky turning from a magnificent blue to a more vibrant orange. The sun is setting, and yet you still have two chapters left in your book. Wanting to finish, you get up and throw your coffee cup away, simultaneously looking down at the pages in your book while walking. Out of nowhere a figure appears in front of you. Colliding, you both fall to the ground. You look up to see a lanky boy with brown hair and beautiful sea blue eyes staring back at you.

"I am so sorry. I wasn't looking where I was going," you say as you feel the heat of a blush rushing up your neck and into your cheeks.

"It's okay. I'll gladly be knocked over by a pretty girl that reads," he replies, trying to be smooth.

"I'm Y/N."

"Ethan. Nice to meet you."

"And you as well. I'm sorry, but I really need to go, my dog is probably waiting at the door of my apartment waiting for me to get home."

"Of course." He slips a piece of paper into your hand before you walk away. You look at the paper to find that it has a phone number on it.

Typical. Another stupid guy flirting with every girl they see, but something makes you keep the paper.

You look backwards to see if maybe he looked back at you, but he has already crested the hill of the street, gone.

What you don't know is that he had looked back at you, multiple times.

You've reached the end of published parts.
