Chapter 3:
Haley's P.O.V.
I felt my heart skip a beat as I stopped in my tracks. "Who is this?"
"You know very well who this is, Love," I heard him say.
"I-I-"
"Ssshhh. It's ok. I'm Avalon, by the way," he said and I continued to walk forward, a little bit better.
"Oh. I had no idea we were on first name basis," I said.
"We aren't, considering I call you many things," he said and I would hear the smile in his voice.
"Most people usually do," I sighed.
"That's not what I meant. And if they do, I would be happy to shoot them for you," he said, a little angry.
"Guns aren't always our best friend," I said.
"Who said I was using a gun?" he asked.
I cleared my throat. "Is there anything specific you wanted?"
"I just wanted to compliment you on your shirt," he said.
I stopped in the middle of the crowed, once again. This time to look at my shirt.
It was another one of my Eminem concert shirts. I loved him.
"What is it of?" I asked.
"An Eminem concert shirt. From 2008 when he was singing in Albany. You know, that concert wasn't that bad, considering I was there,"
"You were there?" I asked, a little shoked.
"Of course. I'm always everwhere." he said.
This comment made me shutter.
"Don't be scared. I'm only protecting you," he said.
"I am scared." I said. I was blunt. I don't really care what I say to people.
"Don't be. Just remember, I'm only a call away," he said and the line went dead.

As I lay in bed, the mans touches still lingered on my skin. I was in the pitch dark of my room, scared in my own home. My parents were in the other room, sleeping peacefully. My brother and sister a few doors down.
And I was scared under the blankets, shuddering, waiting for something to happen. I could feel someone out there, somewhere, waiting.
I know this sounds weird but it's true.
I moved the thought from my mind. Thinking immediatly on Avalon.
What he had saiid on the phone 'I'm only a call away'. It made me wonder.....
Was Avalon only a call away?
Avalon's P.O.V.
"Braith, no! You cannot meet her!" I objected to my sister.
She just glared at me. "Alon, I have to meet her someday. Why not now?" she asked.
"It's too late. I don't want to wake her," I said.
"Is she even sleeping?" she asked.
"i'm not sure...." I lied.
I knew she was lying awake, afriad. I could feel it. I just wished she would tell me or someone what happened so I could know...
"I know you are lying!" she cried and jumped off the couch, her white wings springing out so she could fly around her high ceiling.
"Braith, you can't meet her. She hasn't even seen my face," I said and jumped into the air, hovering with her.
