JULIA'S POV

Ring

As soon as I heard the bell ring, the students jumped out of their seats and ran outside the room.

"Don't forget to do exercise three on page seventy-nine in your notebooks!", I tried to inform them before they left but I am pretty sure they didn't hear a word.

I sighed as I started to pack my papers into my folder.

"Thinking about the students again?", said a voice.

"Ah!", I screamed as I looked at where the voice came from. "Melissa! You scared the shit out of me!", I said, trying to calm myself down by putting my hand on my chest (as if it'd help).

"Sorry, Jules. I ended class early today", said, Melissa, as she came to stand in front of my desk and me.

"No trouble? or fights?", I asked, putting everything in my now open bag.

"Not at all. I mean, maybe something happened between Hedy and Clarie because they kept eying each other in class but they didn't say anything", said, Melissa, as I closed my bag.

"Max didn't get in a fight?", I asked shocked, standing by the door, waiting for Melissa to go in front of me.

"Surprisingly, no. He even answered some questions in Geography today. I am so proud and surprised at the same time", Melissa told me as I locked my classroom door and started to walk down the hallway with her by my side.

"Well, that's actually good. Do you think he changed because we changed the seating plan in class?", I asked her.

"I think that's right. He was way worse before he met Caroline", giggled Melissa as they went down the staircase.

I giggled, "Do you think they'll end up dating?"

"I don't think, I know for sure!", She started to giggle more.

I couldn't help but laugh at her comment, which made her laugh too. And I am pretty sure that we looked like maniacs with our loud laughter.

After a few minutes of standing in the middle of the corridor and trying to calm ourselves, we stopped laughing and regained our breaths.

I, in that moment, remembered something that I wanted to say to Melissa.

"Hey, Lissa" I called her as we started to head to the conference room.

She stopped and looked at me. "Yeah?"

"I am thinking of getting a holiday" I just dropped the bomb. I looked at her face trying to understand what is she thinking about. She looked up at me (she is shorter than me) and we made eye contact.

After a while of staring at each other, she looked down and said, "Ok"

Ok?

"Ok?", I voiced my thoughts, a bit softly this time, feeling a bit scared of her answer.

She immediately looked up at me, "Wait, I didn't mean it like that!"

"I meant to say that I don't care! I mean I do but you can do whatever you want to do! Y'know?", my friend quickly said. I looked at her, surprised by her words, I thought she wouldn't understand, I smiled at my next thought, well I guess I thought wrong.

"Jules, Julia, Julia!"

"Yes!", I snapped out of my thoughts.

"We are going to be late for the meeting if we don't get going!", she literally screamed at my face, jogging in front of me to get to the other side of the school.

I laughed at the way she ran.

"You coming or not?", she stopped to turn around to look at me and ask me.

"Yeah, yeah!", I jogged to get to her and we started to walk together.

---------------------------

After a while, we arrived at the conference room.

"Ah, Julia! Melissa! Finally! You're both finally here!", Mr. Smith, the school's principal, stood up as we entered the room.

"We were waiting for you! What took you so long?", he inquired, looking at us sternly.

I quickly came up with an excuse, "I had to talk to one of my students after lessons and Melissa was waiting for me. We're sorry"

"Ok, I hope that this is the last time something like that happens", Mr. Smith looked at us from toes to head.

We both nodded, "Ok, come in, we have something important to discuss"

Both, Melissa and I, followed him to the room and as I looked up at the people in room,

I saw someone,

someone that I didn't think I'd see again,

I saw Ken fucking Roberts.
