And yet it was my right to choose
Yet we chose each other
And I am gum on the bottom of your shoes
It is not love or friendship
To be treated this way
I want to be honored and cherished
Each and every day
Do we both fall short
With nothing to prove
Waiting for the other to be moved
And isn't this suppose to be patient and kind
Allowing for our souls to intertwine
And aren't we so much better than this
And yet when we are apart
Each other we miss
Is it just my imagination
Causing the conflict of our current situation
Is it truth in you wanting to see me smile
Informing your soul it's worth while
Or do we need to let go
Just to ensure our souls will forever glow
Is this it's true meaning
Is it our only means to find healing
