"Weirdo!"

"Freak!"

"Dork!"

"Weakling!"

I walked past the people in the hallway, head up and a small smile on my face. Each insult made inner me flinch, a chain being attached to the ground that kept me held down.

"Idiot!"

"Homo!"

"Girly!"

I closed my emerald eyes for a second. I kept walking, but quickened my pace, hoping to get to class before I got into trouble. "Freak! Hey! Don't Ignore me!" I rough hand grabbed my shoulder and pulled me back into a chest. I looked up at mean silver eyes and gasped as I was pushed off him.

"Gross! The freak touched me!" Anthony whined while his friends laughed at his antics.

"Can I help you?" I asked innocently, my hair covering one of my eyes. Anthony growled and grabbed a handful of my blonde hair. I gasped as my hands scratched at his fist. "H-Hey!"

Anthony and his friends laughed as they stood above me. I moved my gaze away from their eyes and to the Marble ground. I felt tears prick my eyes as Anthony kicked me in the side. I gasped and fell to the ground. I clenched my stomach and eyes as I laid against the wall.

"Come on, Riley, fight back!" Anthony tempted. I opened my eyes, small tears running down my face. Anthony looked surprised for a second before a wicked smile spread across his face. "Oh, what's this? Riley Underwood is crying?" He gasped mockingly.

I whimpered and avoided his gaze. He was scary...

"Now, Now, Anthony, that's enough. Get to class." A teacher said, her hand on Anthony's shoulder. Anthony looked up at her and grumbled, glaring at me before muttering a "Come On Guys" and walking away with the female teacher.

The bell rang and everyone walked around me like I was a deadly snake that wanted to bite them to death. In reality, I was the exact opposite. I was a harmless rabbit that only wanted to be accepted.

I slid myself up the wall and gasped at a sharp pain in my side. That must have been from Mother. I dragged my bag to my classroom and slid the door open, head bowed and smiled brightly at the teacher, who glared and nodded his head to my seat.

My smile faded and I walked up to my seat. Whispering began as I walked past the people, I ignored them like normal.

The day went by fast, to be frank. Before I knew it lunch came around and I went up to the roof and climbed up on the platform above the door. I grinned to myself and took out my Ham and Cheese sandwich, stuffing it in my mouth and getting papers out along with my favorite pencil.

I set to work on the lyrics of my song that I needed to sing for tonight. Mother was taking me to meet up with her friends at a bar that I worked at sometimes at night. I only sung there, Mother suggested it because she said I had a good voice.

Halfway through with re-reading my lyrics, I heard the door open and a bunch of loud laughing.

"Good Job, Calix !" "Yeah, great for you!" I heard.

I gasped and quickly folded up my lyrics and put them in my back pocket. I needed to stay quiet. Unable to hold my ever-growing curiosity, I peeked over the edge of the Platform at the small group of guys.

I spotted Anthony right away, and he noticed me too.

"Hey! It's the freak!" He shouted. His normal gang looked at him and up at me, grinning. I whimpered and looked at the latter that helped me up. Anthony noticed what I was going to do and before he could grab it, I yelped and jerked it up. Rather, tried to.

"No!" I gasped. The latter was jammed so I couldn't pull it up. "Please, Anthony, leave me alone today!" I pleaded, still trying to pull the ladder up. Anthony didn't respond and the rest of the group just stood back, watching.

Tears pooled in my eyes as I whimpered more. Anthony started to climb up the ladder, making me cry a bit more. Out of habit, I started smiling with tears rolling down my cheeks. Anthony growled and grabbed my neck.

I gasped and grasped at his hands. Anthony's friends whispered among themselves.

"You know what, Riley?" Anthony growled. I bit my lip and a choked sop broke my lips. "P-Please..." I whispered, vision slowly fading. Anthony loosened his grip but instead, pushed me.

I let out a sharp scream, my hands reaching out to grasp anything to keep me from falling. Anthony's eyes widened as my emerald eyes shone into his silver ones.

I fell off the Plat-Form and landed head first. Beware, this wasn't a short drop. The last thing I felt was an immense pain in the back of my head and a brown-haired brown-eyed boy placing my head in his lap.
