Chapter 16
To say that Noah's weekend was uneventful was an understatement. It was over as soon as it had come and yet it had totally changed a lot of things. Too many things. One of them being positive. And the other well...
Noah and Mia were officially a couple. That was one of the changes that had taken place over the weekend. They had gone out again on Saturday for dinner and talked on the phone throughout. Not to mention, she changed her status on Facebook to 'In a Relationship with' and added him. Oh well, this is what he wanted right? Right?
On the other hand, he still couldn't believe what he saw in Susie's room that night. He hadn't meant to go into it. He was looking for the bathroom and opened her room's door to discover his name in bold lettering pasted or printed on the wall with about a gazillion pictures of him around it. The most recent one being of his face when he discovered the yellow petals in his locker.
He was shocked to say the least. He was in every single picture stuck on her wall. There were pictures of him laughing with Mike, mowing the lawn, looking out of his bedroom window, playing ball with his brothers, kissing his mom goodbye, walking to school, standing at his locker, eating at the cafeteria, buying groceries, drinking coffee at Fresco. There were pictures of him doing EVERYTHING, clicked without him knowing it.
Obviously, Noah was creeped out. What guy wouldn't be in his predicatement? A girl had taken pictures of him doing EVERYTHING - even sleeping, though he had no idea how she had caught that moment on camera - except for probably peeing or something.
Anyways, it was Monday and he wasn't sure how he was going to deal with all of this new found drama. Susie and him were actually getting along and then he had discovered why she laid off the stalking. She actually hadn't! She had just said she was sorry and wouldn't do it again when in reality she was just using this formula to get closer to him.
"Hey man." said Noah when he saw Mike, standing near his locker. Micheal looked terrible. There were dark bags under his bloodshot eyes, his hair was more disheveled than usual and his clothes were rumpled.
"Wow dude, you look terrible!"
"You can say that again." growled Mike, slamming his locker shut and tucking his books under his arm. Noah figured the cause of his best friend's distress.
"Still hasn't called you? Or talked to you? Man, she must be mad as sh!t!"
Noah didn't tell Mike about his ex-girlfriend's creepy obsession with him. The guy was in too much pain to go through this revelation.
"Not a single bloody word! The entire f ucking weekend and not. A. Single. Word!" Mike swung his fist into some lockers. Woah this guy was getting way to violent.
"Yeah... Listen, I'll talk to you later. I need to talk to Mia." Noah said, changing the subject before Mike went all psycho mode. Without waiting for Mike's reply, he turned around and went in search for his girlfriend.
Mia Burns was standing in front of her locker, brushing away the unruly dark hair that fanned from her face away from it. Her friends had gone mental when she had updated her Facebook relationship status. Everyone knew that Noah ANDERSON was HOT property. He was perfect, He got good grades, wasn't a jerk and was undeniably HOT.
Too bad that Susie Rayner threatened any girl who showed their interest in him, that's practically most of the girls of the student body but after she had got together with his best friend, Micheal Atkins, the coast was clear and girls were literally throwing themselves at him but obviously the guy was oblivious to their advances. What good luck that he asked her out in the midst of all of them!
Noah tapped Mia gently on the shoulder, unaware of what was going on in her mind. "Hey you!" she said and flung her arms around him, mking sure most of the girls in the hallways saw her gesture.
"Aww. Did Mia miss me?"
"Mia missed you a lot and you know it!"
She unwrapped her arms from his neck and a quick galnce around the corridor told her Susie Rayne r was marching towards them. She looked up at him seductively and leaned in for the kill - er, the kiss.
"Noah! There you are!" said Susie breaking them from their little staring game. Noah unwillingly let go of Mia's waist and turned to face the blond. "What?" he asked curtly.
He noticed her expression turn questioning and she said,"My my, someone got out from the wrong side of the bed today."
"Susie? What is it? Noah and I have some work to do right now..." said Mia irritatedly.
Susie's eyebrows shot up and she looked Mia in the eye before saying, "What work? Playing tonsil tennis perhaps?"
Noah decided to barge in and end this. "Susie, Mike's looking for you. You should go see what he wants."
"I am well aware that I SHOULD go and see him but then again, I WON'T."
"Then why are you here? What to you want from me? Another picture?"
Noah watched as Susie's face flushed beetroot red. "Picture? What are you talking about Noah?"
"Oh, so you want me to tell the entire school of what I saw? I'll do it Susie and then neither Mike nor anyone will want to you."
She looked at him menacingly. "Noah Anderson, I have no idea what fuckery you're making up." and saying that, she turned around and strode away, the same way she had strode towards them.
Mia looked at him expectantly. "What?" he asked, clearly confused as to what she wanted.
"What's Susie's secret?"
"I can't tell you that. It's SUSIE's secret, not MIA's."
"But Noah! I'm your girlfriend!"
"And...?"
"You're supposed to tell me everything!"
"Look Mia, I have to go somewhere now. We'll talk about this later."
Saying that, he walked away from her to find Mike and tell him about Susie's reason for playing with his player heart. Once again. he was confused and tired. He needed girl advice, he needed advice from none other than Aaron, the only guy who could help him right now.
He walked away and heard Mia's last sentence directed at him, "I thought I was your girlfriend!" Yeah, too clingy. Noah didn't like that in a girl. Not at all.
