Chapter 40 // Final Chapter

Jonah's POV
A few days later...
Karen was standing in front of me. Jeylin's car was parked behind her which was weird because it was usually in their garage.
"Hey gorgeous.I was about to go visit you just now" I said, smiling.
She avoided making eye contact and bit her lip. Usually when I said that, she would smile or blush but today she was biting her lip nervously.
"Are you okay?"
"Jonah I need to talk to you and the rest of the boys." She blurted out.
"Okay Come on in" I replied, confused.
The boys were all sitting in the couch watching a movie.
"KAREN" Zach shouted excitedly as soon as he saw her. He stood up and ran over to her. They both hugged and then Zach frowned as soon as he noticed she was acting weird.
"What's wrong?" He asked. She stayed quiet for a few moments and then she finally decided to speak.
"I-I came to say g-goodbye."
"What?" Daniel, Zach and I asked in unison. Corbyn and Jack stood in the side. They didnt look suprised at all.
"Im moving to Illinois in Chicago" she replied quietly, hugging herself. My eyes began to water. The girl i was falling for was leaving and I didnt know if I was ever going to see her again.
"W-When are you leaving?" I asked, my voice cracking. She looked at her watch.
"Im suppose to be heading to the airport right now."
"You guys knew" I said turning to Jack and Corbyn. They nodded and looked at the floor. A hint of anger rushed through my veins. They knew and they didnt tell me. Why wouldnt they tell me? They knew how i got. I curled my fist. They could've told me so i could've convince her not to leave me. Jack ran in front of Karen and covered her. I grabbed the nearest thing near me which was my phone and I threw it to the ground with anger.

Karen's POV

"W-what is happening?" I asked, Confused as Jack rushed me outside.
"When Jonah gets angry, he gets to the point where he breaks and hurts anything around him until he calms down. Thats how he releases his anger"
The rest of the boys ran out as well.
Daniel was the first to come and hug me.
"Karen, im sorry you had to witness that . I just want you to know that you've been a great friend to me and the rest of the boys. I hope we can keep in touch. Have fun in Chicago." He said before giving me a friendly kiss on the forehead. Corbyn was next and he said the same thing as Daniel. He also promised to take care of Jacky and love her the way she deserves to be loved. Zach was next. He hugged me tight.
"I'm going to miss you so much,Karen. Im a little bit disappointed because you didnt tell me but i understand your point of view. I want you to know that I'll always be here for you and you are one of the best friend I've ever had besides these fools."
"Aw Zach. You're going to make me cry. I promise ill send you a message every single day."
Jack was next.
He hugged me and we stood like that for a while.
"Please dont forget about us. "
"You guys are getting more and more famous every day so I dont think I could" I replied. He laughed softly.
"Im sorry I cheated on you. I regret it so much. You're a good girl,Karen. Like i said before any guy would be lucky to have you"
"Its okay and thanks for everything Jack."
He hugged me tighter and then sighed.
"Even if i hug you tight you still have to let you go."
I closed my eyes. I didnt want to cry in front of them. We pulled away and I took a small bag out of my hoodie pocket.  I opened the bag and gave each of them a bracelet with all of the initials of our first and last name engraved on them (including Jacky's and Jeylin's)

(HOLY COW I JUST NOTICED JACKY,JONAH, AND JEYLIN HAVE THE SAME INITIALS)
"Please give this to Jonah and tell him Im sorry for not saying Goodbye." I told Jack. He nodded as they all put their bracelets on.
I had mine on. Mine was the color purple. Jack's was red. Corbyn and Jacky's were turquoise. Daniel and Jeylin's were green. Jonah's was yellow and Zach's was dark blue.
"I guess its time for me to go." I sighed looking at all of them. They nodded and hugged each of them again. Jack placed something in my hoodie pocket and whispered
"Dont forget about us"
As soon as we pulled away, I jumped into Jeylin's car because i didnt want them to see me cry.
Jacky,Jeylin,and I drove to the airport. The ride was quiet. We knew we didnt want to say Goodbye to each other because we have always sticked together since high school but we knew this day would come.
One day we were all going to start our own families and seperate.
"Y-you're going to come back right?" Jacky asked.
I stared out the window.
"Yea.."

Jonah's POV

The boys came back inside. I was on the couch. My eyes were watery and I was staring at the broken glass pieces on the floor. The boys went up to their rooms but Jack was the only one that stayed.
"She left?" I asked.
"Her flight leaves in two hours."
"Its too late. I didnt get to say goodbye." I whispered to myself.
"No its not Jonah. I know you like her. I know you've been liking her. I saw how broken you were when I started dating her. I just didnt say anything because she also made me happy. But right now I want you to chase after her and at least say Goodbye. The uber is outside." He said, handing me a yellow bracelet.
"Its from her. She said to tell you she was sorry for not saying Goodbye. But i believe in you. Go catch up to her and kiss her goodbye" He continued before walking over and opening the door for me. I nodded. I needed to see her one last time. I jumped over the couch and got inside the Uber.
"Drive. Fast. Please"
The uber driver nodded and zoomed out of the driveway.
Thirty minutes later, i rushed around the airport looking for her. I followed the directions Jack had texted me and then I finally saw her. She was sitting on a chair looking at the airplanes that were parked outside.
"K-Karen " I whispered softly as I got close to her. She looked up. She had tears running down her cheeks.
"J-Jonah" she said,jumping into my arms.
"P-please dont leave me Karen. I like you. I like you a-alot. And i want you to stay here with me so we can be h-happy." I said,hugging her tight.  She didnt say anything. She just hugged me.  We stayed like that for a few moments until the intercom turned on.
Attention all passengers United flight 1014 to Chicago is closing doors in 3 minutes.
"I have to g-go"
"No please"
"Jonah please dont do this. I already feel bad that Im leaving my best friends and my parents."
"I w-want to be with you. Why do you have to leave when I had chance?"
"I-m sorry jonah. I like you too.  I want to be with you too but its too late. My stuff is already on the way to Chicago. I already got accepted and paid all my fees. Im so sorry. I do want to tell you that I'll never forget you. You have always been there for me and it means a lot. T-thank You"
She leaned in and kissed me. At first I was shocked but then I responded back. (Im sorry im not good at kissing scenes) Her lips were so soft. I wanted to hold her like this forever. I wish we werent at the airport. I wish we were at home here in LA where she belonged. Kissing her felt like a dream that i didnt want to wake up from.
And once again passengers of the United flight 1014 to Chicago doors are closing in 1 minute.
Karen gasped and pulled away. She let go of me.
"Goodbye Jonah" she said before kissing me on the cheek and grabbing her suitcase. She stared at me for a few moments as if she was regretting her decision. Then she turned and walked away.
Away from me and my broken heart.
"Why don't we forget about all of the drama
All of the odds and the problems.." I whispered to myself as I watch her board the plane.
